Large 3 Bedroom Apartment with Free Parking near Beach and Meyrick Park Fast WiFi

The property was spacious enough for two adults and a child. Good enough kitchen supplies to be able to cook a quick meal and breakfast. Location was fine and Ubers readily available.

The door lock is an issue, at first we couldn’t open the door into the apartment. The lock has a knack to it and also a knack to opening it from the inside. This could be quite dangerous if a fire ever broke out. The main bedroom drain had an awful drain smell which was especially strong due to the stuffy hot weather. On arrival the flat was so so hot, all windows closed so no air. A couple of fans would be good especially in 30 plus degree heat. The apartment is a little rough around the edges and could do with a little TLC.

It sounds trivial but having booked a number of stays through Booking.com both this year and previously I was caught out by the fact that there were no toiletries in the apartment i.e. shower gel / shampoo etc as these have been provided in all the other accommodation we have stayed in (although there was hand soap). On a slightly different note we wondered whether there might be a potential plumbing issue as it took some time for the water to drain away in the kitchen sink particularly.

The location was decent

The property did not meet the advertised “luxury” standard, with cleanliness and maintenance issues such as mould in the shower, worn kitchenware, and unclean bedding. Also only two wine glasses in the whole place, plenty of pint ones, and no basics like salt and pepper, or kitchen surface spray. We were advised Netflix was available, but that was only if you logged onto your own. We were surprised to find a note stating the property should not be rented and were asked to remain quiet due to a neighbour’s condition. While the host was responsive, the overall experience did not reflect the quality promised in the listing.
