Sparrow Cottage

Loved the location….beautiful views comfortable, everything you needed was to hand…like a home from home…plenty of hot water, heating came on at certain times of the day as preprogrammed with hive system, local pub with tasty food, also local cafe was great, cream scones were delicious….keswick a short distance away with lots to do in all weathers

Minor things…one lamp did not work in the bedroom, didn’t have a bulb but switched from other one and it still didn’t work…also no spare bulbs to hand….also mentioned in welcome pack about starter kit for fire but none was given…we didn’t need it but it still should have been provided…also as mentioned parking car in the garden was a bit fiddly but you could park just down from the church across the road

We had a fantastic break at Sparrow cottage. The location was perfect for exploring. The local pubs were great, serving lovely food. The cottage was modern and absolutely spotless. Had everything we needed, right down to dishwasher tablets!

The double bed was not too comfy. My hubby and I struggled to sleep unfortunately but luckily had a spare bunk bed so took it in turns to sleep in the second bedroom.

It had everything you need in the cottage. Nice little extras provided. Great WiFi connection. Lovely and cosy. Fab log burner. Location really good. Close to pubs and nice walks. Lovely views.

Could do with a firmer mattress in the main bedroom, it was too soft. The garden access was a bit strange. Would have been better if there was direct access and it was enclosed.

The dining table. Not the one advertised on the website the table is not suitable for children or elderly adults. We had our Christmas lunch which was easy to prepare in the kitchen but so uncomfortable to eat at the table on stools with no backs I booked the cottage after much searching as I wanted an open fire, dishwasher and a nice table to have our Christmas lunch at The one advertised was ideal but not the one we got
