About this apartment rental
We invite you to our beautiful home, minutes from Downtown, Hyde Park, Golfing, Fishing, and the Beach! Floor 1 features a spacious L/R with F/P, 2 BR's a nice size dining / kitchen combo, and a full bath with a jetted tub ( we arguably have the best water pressure in the city). The large lower level is 4/20 friendly and features a 4- in - One Pool table & another full bath. It's is the perfect space to hang out and have fun. Great for a small girls / guys night, family get together or romantic getaway. 4/20 friendly - LOWER LEVEL ONLY IN NON CARPETED AREAS!
There is hardwood flooring on the 1st floor and the lower level is tile and carpet. The lower level has no ac unit, however there are multiple fans.
Bedroom one has a full/ queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a twin day bed.
In the living room, there is a sofa bed ( taupe velvet sofa ) . The living room and dining rooms have portable ac units (please do not move them ).
Located in South Shore yet a few blocks away from Kenwood and Hyde Park and a 15-minute drive to Downtown - this location is everything! Head out for a day of culture food , shopping, and nightlife in Hyde Park or experience South Shore in its full beauty. South Shore is home to a pristine stretch of lakefront that includes one of the city’s largest beaches ( although at this location you're minutes away from two separate beaches) Wander away from the water and into the neighborhood to discover a wealth of rich cultural offerings and eye-catching architecture. Experience the South Shore Cultural Center - home of the South Shore Opera, for picnic / insta worthy grounds that include a nature sanctuary, a butterfly garden, and a nine-hole golf course and later on grab a slice of heaven from the infamous Italian Fiesta Pizzeria ! Visit the Stony Island Arts bank or feel free to hop on a divvy bike and bike the Jackson Park trails - whatever you need, you can certainly find it nearby !

As soon as you walked in, it was instant comfort to me. It was so cute and quaint. I love the furniture. I really admire your pictures. I fell in love with a lot of the art that was throughout the house and the list goes on. I look forward to coming back again or anytime that I visit Chicago. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Our group had a great time staying at the duplex! There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. It was easy to get an Uber into the city.

Needed a place for a short stay while visiting our daughter at an nearby university property was exactly what we needed. Would suggest having a toaster in the unit as we didn't find one. Felt that our vehicle was safe with the cameras installed on the property

The house wasn't what i expected but got the job done for the couple days we were in town.The owner was very friendly and helpful.
Pros:420 friendly, quick ride to downtown area.
Cons:The camera is mentioned in the house details but says front entrance but the camera is ACTUALLY inside the livingroom pointing right at you which felt extremely uncomfortable. I figured it would be outside by the entrance hallway. We were told we could point it the other way while there but they could still listen to us and felt odd.
Parking, you potentially won't have parking close to the house/in the driveway. We lucked out and got parking but at night it filled up and if someone is in the driveway, you are stuck looking on the street for parking and no camera watching your car.
Neighborhood isn't the best. Neighbors just lingered and stared at us and felt a bit uncomfortable. We had 2 random guys show up before checkout and they tried to unlock the door and looked through the window which made us rush and leave a bit quicker.
This place has potential. Id recommend:
-hiring someone to come once or twice a month to do a deep cleaning (wipe ceiling, walls, wipe light switches, baseboards and the tiles in main bathroom etc.)
Change bathtub mats to plastics/clear. The ones in there feel slimy when showering and discolored.
-White bedding and towels is a must.
-The pool table is broken and you can't play pool
