Disappointing, I would not rent there again or rent from the property owner again.

This property appeared to be very recently renovated and not quite completed, but the fixtures and appliances are nice, beds were fine, it has potential.

Lets start with listing discrepancies: never saw an outdoor area at all, new dishwasher was not in operation, the 'free parking' is street parking. Additionally the long pre-check-in note that warns of "heavily monitored surveillance" forbids all visitors with a penalty of immediate cancellation and a $500 additional fee. Not "overnight visitors"... just "visitors". The main issue is that the unit is missing so many basic amenities it is frustrating. The list is too long but it includes: no bedside table for any bedroom, not a single hook or bar or closet to hang a garment or a coat etc., no way to make coffee, no toaster, no kettle or paper towels, dishtowels, drying rack, no trashcan in any bathroom etc. As indicated in the listing fine print, the owner demands $300 advance transfer via money transfer apps - not the booking platform. None of those apps worked for me being out of the USA and not an iphone user. Sadly the owner failed to contact me 7 days in advance as promised but sprung this on me once I contacted them for check in details 24 hours prior. Its was a big hassle (in my situation) and they were not helpful or accommodating. BTW they will take 10 days from your checkout to refund that - ha! The owner communication was perfunctory at best, not particularly nice or helpful, not that timely. When i asked about toast, rather than dropping off a toaster, they cleverly suggested "using the broiler" which on the gas stove is at the bottom (no sheet pans). So you just need to get on all fours and put your bread on the oven rack and monitor it - ya that is what I am paying for! If the owner had explained that the unit was unfinished and was collaborative and respectful of the inconvenience on their guests - I would have been happy to work with them. That was not the case.

great location for a chicago stay .

location was great. spacious area, was good for our group. Parking was easy and safe neighborhood.

mandatory deposit before unlocking door code should have been mentioned at time of booking. Not sure the renters before us swept as the floors had dust and some dirt especially in bedrooms. Rooms are very bare, literally just the beds. Better curtains to block the light.

Roomy, quiet, inviting and welcoming. Definitely worth the money and stay.

The unit we stayed in was very comfortable, inviting and roomy. Extremely nice place. Safe and quiet neighborhood. The concierge Mrs Kelly communicates very well and is always ready to help out with anything you need. This place is only about 15 minutes from the main part of Chicago depending on traffic. If you stay here, I highly recommend trying out BaBa’s restaurant, the one by red rooster. Their Philly steak is DELICIOUS! The AC is set to 74 but it’s pretty comfortable with the ceiling fans on. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we will definitely book again with them the next time we’re in the Chicago area.

The floor creaks every time you walk and you can hear the neighbors walking and moving about as well. But being an older property, it comes with the territory. Not a deal breaker at all though since we were out the majority of each day.
