About this house rental
Rustic modern West Michigan escape with a sprawling open concept floor plan and jaw dropping Gathering Room that provides ample space to spread out and remain comfortable. The design of the lodge is inspired by the beautiful nature in Michigan, with modern rustic elements integrated throughout. Award winning artist and interior designer Diane Hasso has added her amazing touch with many one-of-a kind design elements that you need to see for yourself.
The kitchen has a commercial oven range, two refrigerators, and is fully stocked with plenty of gadgets (mixer, baking dishes, mixing bowls, pots and pans, serving dishes, etc.). There is a beverage cooler and ice maker in the bar.
Everything is situated on one floor (no stairs) with 8 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have one King bed, three of the bedrooms have one Queen bed, two of the bedrooms have 2 sets of queen beds, and then there is a bunk room with 6 twin beds. All bedrooms have their own private bathroom, except for bedrooms 7 and 8, which share an adjoining bathroom.
The outdoor area is spacious and includes a cozy private covered pavilion with fireplace. No need to bring firewood, as it's included with your stay. Outdoors there is much to keep the group occupied including basketball, volleyball, pickleball, ping pong, and cornhole. There is ample parking suitable for 10 cars.
Location: The property is situated on 7 acres about 1.7 miles from downtown Saugatuck. The property is in a great location with the best of both worlds - privacy and scenic outdoors while still being close to the action. Saugatuck is among the best beach towns in Michigan. It's a vibrant and artsy community with a charming downtown filled with restaurants, shops, art galleries and more. The property is located 1.7 miles from downtown Saugatuck, 5 miles from Oval Beach, 1.5 miles from Ivy House wedding venue, and 3 miles from the Felt Mansion. WOW! Everything about this house was perfect! The house and outdoor space was pristine! We hosted our family for an end-of-summer gathering, and all were in agreement that we would love to stay here again. The Saugatuck area is amazing in itself, but there was so much to do at the house (yard games, outdoor music, outdoor fireplace and seating), we found ourselves not wanting to leave. We highly recommend!!

This is our second summer visit to Tangled Root. We loved it so much, we came back and it did not disappoint! The kids love running around and playing sports outside. A short bike ride to downtown and lovely shops. We had a lot of fun swimming in the lake. It is perfectly situated!! Will definitely visit again.
