This was our first time visiting Crete, and it turned out to be one of the best trips we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The owners of the hotel are a wonderful, kind, and incredibly hospitable family who made us feel as if we were visiting close friends rather than staying at a hotel. A special thank you to Giorgos, who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. His friendliness, helpfulness, and attention to every detail made a huge difference and created a truly unforgettable experience. The location in Frangokastello is perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the authentic beauty of Crete. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, making it an ideal place to unwind. One of the biggest advantages is that the beautiful beach is just across the road, so you can enjoy the crystal-clear sea whenever you like. Right next to the hotel, there is a fantastic tavern serving a wide variety of delicious traditional dishes, and every meal we had there was excellent. Even if you are traveling without a car, you will have everything you need nearby. The hotel even provides bicycles, making it easy and enjoyable to ride to the local grocery store or simply explore the surrounding area at your own pace. What made this place truly special was not only the beautiful location but also the warm hospitality. It is rare to find people who genuinely care about making their guests feel at home, and this family does exactly that. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to our next visit. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete, and we will definitely be coming back. Everything was perfect.

We spent 5 nights here—5 nights of pure relaxation. We enjoyed restful sleep in extra-large beds with very comfortable mattresses, all in complete peace and quiet. The breakfast was fresh and had everything we needed. At first, the place seemed a bit isolated and simple, but now that we've moved on to a 5-star resort for the remainder of our holiday, we surprisingly find ourselves missing this place. While it may lack some of the glamour and amenities of a luxury resort, it offers something far more valuable: genuine tranquility and a chance to recharge. The air conditioning worked perfectly, there was plenty of parking available, and both the hosts and fellow guests contributed to a calm and pleasant atmosphere. The décor was simple yet tasteful. The property's beach was a little less convenient for our taste, so we often chose to drive to Plakias Beach instead. However, this is purely a matter of personal preference and not something we would consider a real drawback. Another pleasant surprise was the selection of nearby tavernas. They offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious dishes, from traditional local specialties to more familiar options, making it easy to enjoy excellent meals without having to travel far. The location offers easy access by car to attractions such as Preveli Beach, Kourtaliotiko Gorge, Elafonissi Beach, and Plakias Beach. There are also many other beautiful places worth visiting in the area, so don't hesitate to ask at the reception for recommendations. The staff will be happy to point you toward hidden gems and local attractions that might not be in every travel guide. Overall, this place provided a level of comfort, tranquility, and authenticity that even a luxury resort has struggled to match. We would happily return. Sometimes the places that impress you the least on arrival are the ones you miss the most when you leave. This was one of them.

If there was one thing we would change, it would be our decision to divide our 10-day holiday between two different locations. We chose to do so to make exploring Crete easier, but now that we've moved on—even to a 5-star resort—we genuinely miss this place. We'll probably spend the rest of our vacation wondering whether we should have stayed here longer.

A beautiful apartment complex in southern Crete. Peace, silence and cicadas. Stunning views. The apartment is large, comfortable, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Very clean, with cleaning included every three days. We didn't take breakfast, so I can't rate it, but the food and atmosphere at the taverna next door were wonderful. Parking is available right next to the house, shaded by olive trees. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always smiling. Thank you, Giorgos! We will definitely be back!
