Rooilande Guest Farm

Fabulous view from chalet. Lovely deck with gas braai. Comfortable big bed. Good hot water. Good wifi. Peaceful setting far enough from N1 that the only sounds you hear are the birds and the breeze blowing over the roof.

We had an amazing 3-night stay at Rooilande Guest Farm. Our hosts, Leon and Chris, were super-efficient, attentive, and friendly' they made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The villa was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which was a nice surprise for a farm getaway. The views and the farm itself were simply amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and unwind in a beautiful setting. We'll definitely be back!

Location, excellent facilities, self drive game drive

Braai and inside fireplace did not funcrion well, smoke issues.

The location is spectacular

Unfortunately, there was construction work going on when we were there, so not as peaceful as we'd hoped for. Also, a strong wind was blowing when we arrived (not the host's fault!) but it meant that the dust was really bad and coated everything outside. Although the host offered to stop with digging a services trench right outside our accommodation, we didn't really feel we could say no which exacerbated the dust and was noisy. The kitchen facilities are really basic. There needs to more crockery, cutlery, serving dishes etc and plastic wine glasses are really tacky. A small upgrade would make a big difference. Also, we couldn't work the plug in cooking plate. Luckily we were able to cook everything on the braai but that was a challenge with the dust.
