Copacabana in the heart of Las Americas by Olax Rentals

Great communication from the Team prior to arrival making you feel comfortable that you've booked somewhere reputable and makes you looking forward to getting away. Upon arriving I must say the photos dont do the size of the property any justice as it was a lot larger than I was expecting. The facilities in the property are lovely and was very happy to find a bottle of chilled water left in the fridge. The location is fantastic, Just a few minutes walk to the closet beach, with restaurants, shops and bars all within very close proximity. Just a note that the closest shop is 1 min walk away and if you require milk its best to get there earlier as it does sell out fast. Don't be put off by the proximity of the bars ect as due to its location the area is very quite and your able to relax in the evenings on the sun terrace or watch tv on the couch without any noise interference. Side note, the steps at the rear are not directly out the door when you open it from the left and are located in the middle so if you open the door, do not just step out as it is quite a drop. The pool area was really lovely and well maintained daily by staff on site were you can relax, soak up the sun and have a nice swim to cool down. The size of the property is very good (home away from home) where you could very happily and comfortably stay for a long period. I would happily book again if the areas of improvement below are effectively addressed.

Unfortunately Whilst there I did come across areas of improvement required and have forwarded these to the company who have reassured me they will be addressed. There were several fixtures of the property that are in need of repair/replacement due to either damage or heavy wear and tear. There was a large build up of dust on the skirting boards which needs addressing. There was damage to 1 of the tiles on the steps to the rear of the property which does create a safety hazard. The tv in the bedroom wouldn’t link to any signal or the digital box so was unusable during my stay. Unfortunately whilst these are not major issues it does take away from the overall aesthetic appearance and standard level of the property so have matched my review on this. Despite these issues I would stay again and I would like to hope these are addressed prior to my next stay.

Excellent location, short walk to the beach. Loved the hanging seat on the terrace! Great pool area easily accessed from the terrace. Full kitchen with stove, cook top, microwave, fridge and proper-sized freezer, as well as plenty of utensils, ice cube trays, plates etc. Washing machine was a must as I stayed for three weeks. Very convenient with the code lock, didn't have to worry about bringing/misplacing keys. Close to the bus station. Shopping mall with big grocery store within walking distance, and some smaller grocery stores a bit closer.

Only a ceiling fan in the bedroom - it got very warm in the rest of the apartment when outside temps were up to 37 degrees, so another, movable, fan would have been nice. Quite some noise outside at night (loud garbage truck at 3 AM Sunday, people partying in the street, loud shouting etc) forced the window closed most nights - had to keep the bedroom door open for air flow because of that. But obviously not the property's fault that other people are noisy. Some kitchen utensils could do with an upgrade (dull knives, food kept sticking to the frying pan despite oil). The terrace door could use a better lock, as the current hook latch kept opening by itself and could also be easily opened from outside.
