Really cozy guesthouse with a scenic view of Permet and surrounding mountains. The hosts and staff as well as the food was incredible. Make sure you visit the small church nearby, to witness some local history. We can just recommend!

The owner family are very professional and kind people. The location is breathtaking. The transportation between the house and our parking spot went very smooth. The food was very nice, real homemade dishes, make sure you have your dinner here. Our stay here was an unforgettable experience, highly recommended accomodation when you stay in Përmet. Thank you

A destination when you need everything perfect for a deep recharge

This is the most perfect place I have found. You must know, however, it is totally unique and not your typical hotel room in the middle of the city. This is a destination escape with great breakfast and dinner available. Hosts that are amazing (with great language skills as well). Incredible views. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Temperature controlled well. Large fireplace on cool evenings. Guests are treated to very healthy breakfasts and encouraged to enjoy excellent evening meals (with so much out of their garden or of the neighbors) and conversation and sharing. It's all about a relaxed, problem free get away with awesome ancient church exploration, tiny village and hiking trails out the door. Permet is close enough and the host will shuttle (even though I spent 2 night stay and never left except for a hike each midday).

This place is up the hill for Permet, on a dirt road from the main city of Permet. It is very close to the ancient church that everyone needs to visit. It is a 4WD road but the host will gladly and kindly escort you up/down in his vehicle and charm and entertain you along the way.

Wonderful host in idyllic mountain setting

Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Wonderful guest house with amazing views lovingly built by Gilberto who is the most wonderful host. Picking us up from town when we needed and even looked after our luggage whilst we went on an overnight hike. We really enjoyed his company and would consider a true friend.

Situated amongst the most beautiful scenery with an outrageously gorgeous view of the valley below. This has to be one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in. It is family run with the most lovely people attending to your needs. It is clean, family run, not too busy, and great value for money. I will come back - if was just that good.

Incredible Guesthouse with wonderful owners and staff and amazing meals and views!

The husband and wife who own the Guesthouse are wonderful, very nice and super helpful with tips and advice. The Guesthouse is quite beautiful with nice rooms and a spectacular view of the valley far below and mountains beyond. The homecooked meals are quite delicious and the staff serving them are so very nice. Permet was one of our favorite towns in Albania and it is definitely the cleanest town we visited. The cats who live at the Guesthouse were really fun to watch and play with.

I’d recommend staying at Chri Chri Guesthouse to everyone who travels to Albania!

The guesthouse is a beautiful building with an even more beautiful view. You won’t find anything like it anywhere else. Gilberto, who is so kind and knowledgeable about the area, picked us up in Përmet and drove us up to the guesthouse. At dinnertime, we were served a delicious home cooked meal by Elona. The room with ensuite was great and also had a wonderful view of the mountains. We loved the tranquility the guesthouse gave off. We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful stay in a traditional Albanian village

It is a new, nice house situated in a small traditional village above the town of Permet. Currently, it is not possible to get to the house by normal car, but the owner offers a ride (up and down) from/to Permet. The owners have 3 cats. Shepherds live in the area, there are many domestic animals, you can walk around the hills there. Both owners are very nice, they advise you where to go and what to do. They also offer excellent breakfasts and dinners. You can pay by card.

When we were there, Europe was hit by a heat wave, temperatures were rising to 35 degrees. However, there is currently no air conditioning in the rooms.

A beautiful gem in the mountains of Permet

We absolutely loved our stay here. If you are looking to slow down, relax, immerse yourself in the nature, then this is the right place for you :) The owners (that built the house themselves!) make sure you feel extra welcome. The delicious dinner and breakfast are a cherry on top! It's worth noting that the house is far away from the village (20-30 mins walk on a steep road). Or you can always text Gilberto to bring you up or down with 4x4. For us the location was a plus but it's good to know.

Gilbert and Elona go above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay/experience. Picking you up from Permet if required, booking tours or helping with any other questions. Beautiful view in a fantastic accommodation.

Beautiful view in the mountains. The owner picked us up in the center of Permet in a 4x4 vehicle and drove us all the way to the top. A fun ride through the steep mountains. When you enter, you immediately find yourself in a beautiful traditional living room with a fireplace. A warm place where you can sit and have a pleasant chat with the other guests. In the morning, you’re served a delicious breakfast while once again enjoying the stunning view. The room looks very nice and is very clean.

One of the most special places I've ever been

It was simply amazing. They waited for us in the quite late evening (even came to pick us up down in town), and served a delicious homemade dinner. I felt like at home since the first moment. The room was spotless and taking a nice breakfast with that view was a perfect experience. The host knows and recommended local places to visit, and the communication with him was fast and very clear. We recommend it 100%!!!

Just the best place to relax, with a timeless feel to the village.

Best place we stayed in Albania. Don't be put off by not being able to drive up to it (don't try it!) and needing to be picked up - its position high on the hillside is part of its charm. In a lovely little village with steep stony streets, wonderful little church nearby to visit. Food was great. hosts spoke great English, and was great to chat to them. Was lovely to meet other guests and talk and eat with them. Loved it!

A perfect retreat

Perfect for an off the beaten track experience and a peaceful retreat. Gilberto and his family are amazing hosts. The most comfortable firm mattress I’ve slept on in Albania. Beautiful house and big terrace to enjoy a drink, delicious home cooked meal, the views and birdsong. And located right in the middle of a small traditional village with no shops but graced with the stunning St Mary Orthodox Church and its well maintained frescoes. An absolute must!

Our stay at this beautiful accommodation in Permet was simply unforgettable. Nestled high in the mountains, it felt like discovering a hidden castle. Mr. Gilberto, the owner, made everything so easy for us — he kindly came down to the village to pick us up with his car, ensuring we reached the place without any hassle. The atmosphere was pure serenity — peaceful, calm, and welcoming. Everything was impeccably clean and cozy, making us feel instantly at ease. The food was beyond words — fresh, local ingredients prepared with love and tradition, offering a true taste of the village. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the heartfelt hospitality. The owners treated us like family, always there to help and guide us. I can’t recommend this place enough — it’s a little piece of heaven you will never want to leave.

The best place I have ever been to

I don’t know how to start other than saying that this is probably the very best guest house on Booking.com (in the whole world). We stayed for 6 nights (much longer than most people do) and it was 1000% worth it. Everything about this place is special; location, view, building, rooms and most definitely the home cooked food. This was our favourite place in all of Albania. Gilberto and his wife were always beyond helpful and the chef and her daughter are the sweetest people you will ever meet. We are so thankful that we found this place and that we could stay here. I could name a million other things but you should make your own experience here. Trust me, you will know what I’m talking about.

A beautiful place to stay with great care shown by the owners to look after their guests.

The care and hospitality shown by Gilberto and the team really is exceptional. The meals are amazing, and incredibly reasonable value. The old rural stone house has been very well refurbished to comfortable standards. The local area is attractive, especially the Vjosa valley.

The rural village is surprisingly noisy at night from farm animal sounds. The only issue I had was having to run down the mountain road rapidly to catch a bus late, due to a mix-up with the host.
