Location cant be beat, but in addition the apartment was charming, elegantly decorated and well appointed. I would be very happy living there!!

The photographs make this property seem far more attractive than it really is. The main entrance is poor and shared with other residents. We had also understood there to be a concierge service. In reality, this didn’t exist beyond a texting possibility dependent on a helpful response from the person responding. We used this to address one issue, and although it was eventually resolved, we received no apology and it took several exchanges before we achieved satisfaction. The property wasn’t clean - kitchen plughole badly stained, kitchen cupboards smeared with hand marks, oven door smeared with grease and dust, bathroom tiles filthy with mould, etc. We arrived to find just half of a toilet roll in the bathroom even though the details say that these will be provided. The bedroom was small with just a very weak electric fan (temps high 30s!). The bedroom had a main light switch but no main light. All of the locks were faulty, requiring a “knack” to a get through the various barriers (we notice that others have reported on this in previous reviews), and one permanent resident asked us very firmly not to use the key to get in and out of the gate (code only so why did we have a key?). The only way to illuminate it was to go right across to the bedhead and use the bed-side lamp. In the kitchen, the cleaning sponge for washing up was really old and had been used too many times by previous occupants, and the fridge lamp bulb needs replacing. Although the temperature has been in the high 30s for several weeks now, the bed was still made up for a hard winter - 12 tog duvet, bedspread and top cover. We removed these, but there is nowhere to store them. The living room window frame on the front of the property is badly broken so the window cannot be closed (this was fine in the warm weather but not if it is cold outside!).
