The cottage was beautiful and really clean. Sue was lovely, she kindly left some treats for us. The surroundings were stunning!
The shower went a bit cold at times.

The location was lovely and very convenient to Sedbergh.
The beds were all very uncomfortable, we didn’t sleep that well which was a shame as it would have been 10/10 with better mattresses.

Lovely property, well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views.
Little window over single bed quite drafty. Otherwise really great place to stay.

The location is spectacular and the house is better than the photos even show. A lovely large kitchen area, very well equipped. So quiet and to sit and look at the view through the huge window was perfect, we even saw a hare hopping along the lane.
The single beds weren't the comfiest, and I did have to do some very creative window coverings as there are no curtains in the twin room.

Converted barn. Great view, large private parking space, nice outdoor table and chairs. Private and quiet. Clean. Great bathroom. We enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed walking in the hills nearby.
Downstairs bedroom has two tiny windows with no curtains, making sleep difficult in mid summer - they really need curtains. Pots and pans were old and need replacing. Converted barn is more functional than homely: nicely converted and clean but eg no pictures on the walls and could probably do with more rugs on flagstone floor downstairs. The long lane to the property, though little used, is not really walkable - very narrow with high hedges, and we encountered a couple of vehicles driving a little too fast down it. When we arrived we struggled to open the door because a mat was jamming it.

The location is remote and beautiful with amazing views over the Howgills. Close to Sedbergh with lovely shops and pubs. Great walks pretty much on the doorstep.
The cottage had great kitchen facilities and a comfortable lounge with log burner that was all set up for our arrival. The window from the lounge was the main event-fabulous! The main bedroom was spacious and had lovely views over the fields with lambs for neighbours.

The remote setting, but not really that far from anything! The views, the silence, the sheep.

Idyllic location, superb views
One of the single beds had no bedside table or light.

The double bed wasnt as comfortable as it could be but could have been worse

Spotlessly clean. Secluded but only 5 minutes back to town for supplies. Fabulous views. Directions were spot on, easy and fast check in, thoughtful treats left and plenty of hot water. Space to park a car and camper van outside. Master bedroom very large with a window looking out over the countryside to wake up to. We enjoyed the dark skies and stars sat outside at night. Would definitely stay again.
We found the mattress too hard….this is personal choice but a topper would have made a big difference for us.

We all had a lovely stay at Old Sprout Barn for the weekend. The barn was in a beautiful remote location and we got particularly lucky with the weather! Would definetely stay here again - it’s so cosy and the views are amazing. Sue was also so helpful and responsive when we had any questions. Can’t wait to come back!

Spotlessly clean. Wood burning stove and floor to ceiling windows over an amazing view made the holiday extra special for those days when it was raining.

A great place in a fantastic spot. The views were amazing. So quiet and peaceful, just what was needed.
The barn was clean, spacious enough for me and 2 dogs and the welcome pack was much appreciated.
The mattress on the bed was too hard for me

A beautiful view out of the lounge windows.

We were self-catering so 'breakfast' question is irrelevant but it was kind of host to leave milk and a bottle of beer and wine. We loved the peaceful location, the view and the spaciousness of the barn, which was well equipped.
In such a rural location, I doubt that burglary is much of a problem. However, we could not secure the upstairs bedroom window and it would have been easy for so one to climb in.

We would have like a mirror in the bedroom downstairs.

absolutely gorgeous little barn, beautifully rural away from main roads. decor is lovely and the whole place is well furnished and supplied. perfect for a little one as stairgate, cot and high chair provided
if we had to be really picky then a new mattress on the king bed would be nice as we found ourselves rolling out the sides due to it probably having been used so much so the edges went down. it would be lovely to have a little bench outside to the left of the big windows so that you could sit and look at the amazing view with a cuppa!

Faultless.

2 lovely accommodations. We booked old spout barn but ended up staying in the Chapel beck due to water shutting down in old spout barn. Good service once problem raised and refund given for inconvenience. Would get new mattresses though as not the comfiest and 2 dog bowls would be great for guest who bring dogs. We will visit again soon.
Nothing. Both spectacular properties.
