Really nice comfortable house in a great location, I would be happy to stay there again in future.
The house is very comfortable and in a perfect location just a few minutes walk from the middle of the High Street, with everything in town within ten minutes one direction or another. Most of the places anyone would want to get to in town such as shops, pubs, and restaurants are within five minutes from the door, as is the harbour and the Ffestiniog Railway. I do not drive so walking distance was really essential, even more so as it rained the entire time I was in town.
It was also beautifully quiet late at night even though being right in the town centre, which was nice.
The only thing lacking was that there is no private outdoor space, the location of the house means that is not possible, although it didn't matter for me as it was raining ALL the time, but for anyone wanting private outdoor space in nice weather they should be aware that there is no garden or yard at Bryn Coed.
(Parking could be a problem for anyone who drives, but as I don't drive it was not an issue for me and it was nice not to be directly on a main road.)

A lovely cottage in a great location.
Delightful cottage, had everything we needed for a lovely stay - characterful and charming, good location, comfy, really clean. Super quick walk into the village, good location for exploring the local area.
Would have liked closer parking, but we coped fine.

Lovely cosy cottage for a cwtch
Great central location and a really cosy cottage to rest, relax, shelter from the weather in, and to explore Porthmadog. Very short walk to shops, trains, harbour, with nearby cafes, restaurants, pubs, etc. Would be a really good base for folk using public transport.
Not a problem for us, but if you have restricted mobility, you may find that the stairs are steep and there is a little hill up to the entrance. No parking outside even to unload, really, but we had no problems finding nearby parking and using public transport.

Family holiday in Porthmadog and Snowdonia
Cozy cottage in a quiet side street but still in the center of everything: 10 mins to railway station and Tescos, same to harbour and steam railway, just 5 mins to The Australia or Fish and Chips place - or Browser's bookstore.
Well fitted for five, stairs are quite OK, despite other reviews (apart from the day after hiking up Mount Snowdon 😉). Kitchen great for self-catering. Washing machine has built-in dryer. Beds very comfy, not too soft.
Overall great experience, would come here again!

Wonderful property
Fabulous location, close to the shops, cafes & harbour of Porthmadog. Lovely, comfortable cottage with all the kitchen amenities needed for a self-catering holiday. Great dog friendly beaches nearby, plus a perfect location for climbing Snowden & superb walking in Beddgelert. We visited Porthmerion, which is also close by.
Thank you so much !

I totally recommend
Within easy reach of shops, eateries and narrow gauge trains. Even though there's no parking at the property, we had no problem finding a space within easy reach.
The place was perfect for us, although a tall person may struggle with the shower/bath which, due to it being a small property, it's a little cramped.

We were able to relax and rest with easy access to amazing views and walks.
Cozy, clean and restful, bear to both the town centre and the coast path.
A little lacking in furniture (eg a coffee table and chair or two would make life easier)

Gorgeous cottage
A gorgeous little cottage, just off the main street in Porthmadog. Lots of pubs, coffee shops and eateries just on your doorstep. The Creel fish and chip shop was amazing and the food in The Australia looked great although we didn't eat there as we were out til later most days. Very dog friendly pub as is The Ship and Tafarn Pencei on the harbour. The Indian restaurant across from the cottage was lovely.
I nearly didn't book this cottage as the reviews were negative about the staircase, shower and parking .None of which were an issue, I couldn't see any problems with the stairs or bannister level and the shower is quirky, but it's an old cottage with sloping ceilings so is expected. We got a parking space every day in the street opposite ( the one with the Indian restaurant on the corner,It's also the road down to the port, there's a little park down there and another restaurant)
The cottage was clean, cosy , spacious and comfortable. Lovely kitchen and comfortable bed. A great base, near to so many lovely places to explore.
I'd definitely book it again.

Really nice house, great location for the town and would definitely stay again
Location great. House lovely. Really enjoyed our stay.
Parking was away from house, may cause issues for some although we were fine and parking in close by streets was always available. Dropping off and picking up belongings at start and end of holiday was fine for a short period anyway.

Lovely home to stay in . Hope to come back again.
The home is full of character, with eccentric sloping floors and the original steep staircase. The décor is delightful and all of the finishes are lovely and easy to clean. The way all of the lighting has been set up is brilliant and we loved the lovely oak furniture. The cottage has huge thick walls at least 3 foot wide and it is very warm and cosy when the temperature drops thanks to the excellent central heating and all of the the tightly fitting doors and windows. The scenery in north wales is amazing and there are plenty of places to visit. We found people to be friendly and welcoming locally.
Actually, it didn't bother us at all but future people staying there need to be aware that there is no parking outside of the house. There are double yellow lines directly outside. Providing your vehicle is not hugely auto-obese, it is possible to quickly pull up and off-load or load up if you pull over enough to let other vehicles still use the road. We always found space to park our modest car in the two residential streets directly opposite and so parking was not an issue for us.

A most enjoyable stay, marred only by a prior accident to one of our party.
The location and quietness. The cleanliness and faciities provided.
The steepness of the stairs really merits better bannister support . There is no support from halfway up the flight.
The bolt was missing from the bathroom door. This may have been deliberate, a safety issue, but it makes undisturbed use difficult. A safety lock should be installed.
Parking around the house is difficult. A gateway opposite was suggested, but in the event was need for skip delivery.
