Old sheepfold (we still gave birth to lambs there a few years ago!) Renovated into a charming cottage in an exceptional natural setting
All the comforts of a modern gîte (fitted kitchen, bathroom with Italian shower, large screen TV, hi-fi system, large panoramic terrace) in a charming barn and a preserved natural site.
Away from noise and "urban speed", access to the lodge requires 10 to 15 minutes of walking in the mountains (possibility of carrying your luggage in a 4x4 on request prior to your arrival).
Located on the edge of the pretty Tour du Serris trail on the southern slope of the Monné massif, the Gîte offers an exceptional panorama of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre massif.
Heating by wood stove (wood provided). 6 beds.

Vie d'Estive is a traditional Pyrenean farm located at 1000m. altitude in one of the most beautiful pastoral valley of the central Pyrenees. The charming and characterful accommodation (old sheepfolds and restored cabins) are located in the middle of immense natural meadows facing south facing the Pic du Midi de Bigorre.
The preserved natural site requires access on foot (10 min walk from the car park)
The accommodations are located on the edge of the Petite Randonnée "Tour du Serris" trail at the foot of the mountain pastures of the Monné massif.
You will observe our flock of sheep roaming freely around your accommodation as well as a very varied wildlife.

Nous avons passé un séjour vraiment sympa dans cette très jolie bergerie ... avec pourtant de fortes émotions. L’accès est très impressionnant avec une route de montagne très étroite et très pentue... l’accès à pied de 10min sur un sentier boueux en voyant brebis et cochons est bucolique ... ça devient beaucoup moins marrant quand on se retrouve en tête à tête avec un chien de berger très agressif qui aboie méchamment et retrousse les babines (c’est arrivé 3fois durant le séjour dont une fois où on a dû rebrousser chemin car on avait trop peur et que le chien se montrait vraiment agressif).
C’est un véritable bout du monde perdu dans la nature mais la bergerie est très bien équipée et confortable ... et la vue est magnifique.
