Old Town Charm

We stayed at this accommodation and really enjoyed its character. It has a traditional old-town feel and a calm, quiet atmosphere that made our stay very relaxing. While it isn’t modern, that’s part of its charm. A great choice if you enjoy character and a peaceful place to stay.

We arrived for a wedding, so it was an all-around happy experience.

Location was great, very central. Anna was lovely, very friendly. All was clean & tidy.

The shower water was not very hot, I would describe it as luke warm. There were 3 people in the house so there wasn't enough hot water. The liquid soap in the bathroom was almost empty, maybe check that before the guests arrive. We managed to find another bottle in the kitchen, so we did a swap with the bottles. My grandchildren stayed one night in the cottage & there was a miffy smell, perhaps a damp smell in the room. Maybe it should be aired before the guests get there.

Peaceful stay

Anna,the lady that welcomed us was very friendly, polite and informative. The yard has awesome space to relax and chill by the fire and the pool. Awesome and very neat garden! The cottage is also a nice touch.

People just to keep in mind the stairs leading upstairs aren't ideal for the older folk,but not difficult to navigate.

This property has a lovely garden and the outside braai with pool was awesome. The quiet time was exactly what we needed.

Some of the furniture needs to be upgraded. A proper TV room may be considered, with proper couches and a little bit of more comfortable seats. Everything was upright, nothing lounging an d relaxing.

We absolutely loved the accommodation. Clean, comfortable, wonderful location. The braai area and garden were amazing. Just loved sitting out there and enjoyed the weavers so! We will be back.

This was the perfect place away from home, it was a pity that it was a super short stay.

This house / property is under estimated - under-rated! When i saw the outside i was like O ok... looks like the pic. but when i went inside and explored the entire property it was a SUPER WOW factor for me and other guests. It's beautiful and really amazing.. Also felt like we were in Greece. I highly recommend this place to any holiday seeker wishing to visit Darling and im confident that i will be booking this place again soon.

A beautiful, peaceful place

Such a beautiful garden and living space, especially the patio with braai and the separate cottage for one couple. It was a joy to wake up to birdsong and church bells rather than city noises, and to go for lovely walks.

Despite a few niggles it was a lovely stay thank you.

No breakfast was offered.

The lounge fireplace smoked us out as the chimney cowling needs to be changed. The double bed against a wall does not work. How does the person get out during the night?

Misleading info about property

We were not aware that there is only one bathroom, the accommodation stated there were 3 bedrooms. We also wanted to make use of the washing machine and tumble dryer that was advertised. Not available/ visible. The house smelled of old cooking odours. The bathroom wall looks very unappealing due to damp. The basin spout very impracticable and should be made shorter. Bathroom mats threadbare and dirty. Outside furniture very dirty and stuffing coming out. ( Photos available but I wont post it.) In comparison to other similarly priced accommodation this venue offered no value nor comforts.
