About this cabin rental
A beautifully handcrafted home which has been built from upcycling over many years.
The space brings you a sanctuary of relaxation and peace, and is set in the tranquillity of East Sussex nature.
I had bought the vehicle as a working horse truck in 2016 before it was totally stripped bare and put back together as a beautiful home.
It was blood, sweat and tears but the space has paid back dividends in mindfulness and peace.
I now invite other like-minded people to enjoy this creation.
The space
The space makes the most out of the shape and size.
Up front is a double bed above the cab which is accessed by a fixed ladder.
The lounge is built with a futon facing out to the glazed patio doors and adjacent woodburning stove. A bookshelf containing some interesting reads is in easy reach.
A kitchen area with gas oven and hob divides the lounge and front bed.
Out the rear is a separated room with 3 bunks, 2 of which fold to provide an office desk and monitor wall.
You will also find a W.C room and more storage.
A rear barn door provides air, light and a private entrance.
Other things to note
Although it's homely, it should be appreciated that it's also close to nature.
The horsebox will rock in the wind, and if it rains you'll hear it. It is all part of the experience and a little romantic when the weather does come in.
The horsebox is off-grid; a solar panel provides power for lighting and USBs, and 1000w inverter provides power for small electrical items. It won't power a hair dryer with the heat setting on.
The toilet is a flushing chemical toilet but I don't use chemicals, so it would be appreciated if it could be used for emergency no1's.
A composting toilet is on site.
There are ladders and steps and cupboards etc so the space is not suitable for under 8 year olds.

We totally loved our stay from start to finish. The horsebox is beautifully and thoughtfully kitted out and the location and outside bath are amazing. Becky was a brilliant host. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be going back again as soon as possible.

As a group of 5 friends wanting a weekend get together this was a prefect blend of comfort/quirkiness and countryside living. The converted Horsebox is very homely and tasteful as well as comfortable. We also added the hosts new Italian army truck as secondary accommodation so that we had more space to spread ourselves out. Both vehicles complimented each other very well and are extremely well converted with a wealth of amenities. Dean and Becky are both lovely and helpful people who will do anything they can to help. Just great hosts.
If you are happy being close to nature we can highly recommend this accommodation for friends or families wishing to truly get away from it all.
