Quiet, clean and in a great location

We had such a lovely stay, the cabin was in a beautiful and peaceful location, with all the facilities for a weekend stay by the coast.The host was lovely and very helpful as we were having trouble using the wood fired hot tub and the host kindly assisted to get the fire going. He also provided us with a fan upon request.

We had a small issue as the sofa bed didn’t come with bedding which was my fault because I didn’t read the message they left on booking.com but the host very kindly provided some bedding anyways, although we couldn’t use this as there was some dog hair on it. But we really appreciate the thought.

Hot tub, wood burner, bathroom was ok

The location is right next to a busy main road, and the traffic noise is significant. There is no pleasant area nearby for walks. The space itself is very small, with no wardrobe or hangers — just a few tiny shelves. In the kitchen, the fridge barely worked and there was no microwave. Cleanliness was a real issue: all cups and glasses were sticky and dirty, and we had to rewash them ourselves. The most shocking part was the duvet — on our very first night we noticed a strong smell of urine. When we removed the cover, we discovered huge stains (photo attached). Absolutely unacceptable. We ended up sleeping under a blanket we had luckily brought with us. Overall, this stay was a major disappointment and we cannot recommend it.
