About this house rental

Based at the entrance of See Canyon, overlooking Avila Valley and only 2 miles to Avila Beach. This wonderful home offers privacy, incredible views and peaceful nature vibes. The location is one of the best in the county, with a unique microclimate that folds the fresh ocean air into the warm valley heat. Nestled near Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo and Edna Valley, a short drive to wine tasting, kayaking or exploring farmers market. The house was built in the 1950's and has been updated respectively to preserve it's character. It offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms/bathrooms is located in a detached unit 20 steps from the main house, we've dubbed "The Tree House" bedroom. All bedrooms are connected to a bathroom for additional privacy. The house offers a very nice outdoor seating area and a barbecue for outdoor cooking. Sleeps 6 comfortably, up to 8 with children.

Have stayed here twice before and always enjoyed the place and location. We had a few issues with the property when we stayed last month a plumbing problem & some minor issues however they sent a plumber out right away& when I addressed the issues with property manager after our stay they were very responsive & were happy these issues where brought to their attention so I’m keeping the 5 stars just check & see if all was resolved.

We absolutely loved this quiet, beautifully rustic and very unique property. We ended every evening around the outdoor fire pit and enjoyed the views of the vineyard, majestic oak trees, and surrounding hillsides. From the patio area, my husband filmed a time laps of the clouds rolling down into the valley. Our magical mini 4 night, 5 day vacation was a family reunion of 20 people, with 3 different vacation rentals. The two other rentals were in Avila Beach proper, which offered convenience to restaurants and wine tasting rooms, but my siblings complained of noise and smaller homes. Our Avila Valley home was spacious and definitely the better peaceful quiet option for our group of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. Highlights of our stay included golf at Avila Beach golf course followed by outdoor concert and dinner at Mulligans, then karaoke at Mr Rick’s. Half day outing to SLO for breakfast at Louisa's and shopping, Kelsey See Winery, lunch on the 3rd Avila pier while watching sea otters and seal lions, then on to Pelaton wine tasting room. The Barn off highway 101 was perfect for our grandkids, and so was the aquarium in Avila Beach, where we met Mitch the octopus, and peanut butter and jelly ( male and female sharks) We ventured to SLO Ranch for lunch and to a great finale dinner at Oyster Loft in Pismo. So much to do, and great half way meeting point for our Bay Area family and our OC families. Lauren our host was a fantastic communicator and she made us feel very welcome.

Enjoyed a peaceful stay with nice views. Yard with fire pit was very enjoyable. Bedrooms were perfect. Very clean. Place had everything we needed a great find! Would definitely return.

The location of the house is great and the communication with Lauren was excellent. The house was definitely older than we expected and not kept up very well… several things were broken and the house was incredibly hot (with no ac) and a lot of the windows didn’t open (or have screens) etc. We come to this area annually and chose this house primarily based on location. The location is excellent and outdoor patio is really nice and definitely has a wonderful breeze. Unfortunately, the house just trapped heat (and the fans provided no relief) and was not comfortable to sit in during the daytime. I’m surprised that this house has such good reviews but again it’s a great location and the communication was excellent. I’m sure it couldn’t be enjoyable for some people, especially in a different time of the year, but it ended up not being a good fit for us.
