About this house rental

While staying here you will experience amazing lake views and sunsets from every room. Watch the activity on the Lake while enjoying fresh air and lake breezes. Jet Ski's, Sail boats runabouts, an occasional freighter, never a dull moment. You'll rest peacefully in one of the 4 bedrooms. And enjoy breakfast on the patio. Please note: We do not have water access from the property. While the home does sit directly on the lake bank, there is a drop off to the water. We do not have stairs to access the water.

My family spent 8 days at the property. My mother who is 83 was with us. She uses a walker and was able to move around easily in the home. We enjoyed the view and the home very much and plan on staying there when visiting family in the future.

We really appreciated the stay at this lovely home. It's a great place, comfortable and spacious, with an amazing view. We really appreciated the owner's responsiveness as well. We are grateful to him for hosting us! It was a great stay. Note to renters: the home doesn't have access to the water, but it is an amazing view. We didn't need access and the view was perfect, but for those who want access, one needs to use public access elsewhere.

I really hate to let everyone know how great this property is as I want to see it available again. Super convenient location to everything in Lorain including Oasis Marina and mile long pier. The views at sunset and sunrise are breathtaking. The outdoor area is so nice to enjoy it all. Everything with this rental was great. The owner is great at.communicating eveything you need to know and the checkout was simple. We will be back.

Unbelievable view spot on the Lake with amazing sunsets! The home is 70’s dated but very clean. Had everything we needed. One upstairs shower was worrisome but still had hot water after 6 successive showers. Great nights chilling around their propane fire pit. Private back yard YET we had the amazing convenience of a fully stocked convenience store 200’ away. Ice cream shop a block away. On the bike path. Beds comfortable. Well stocked linen closet. We had a great stay, and hope to stay again next year.

Our stay was wonderful! The hosts were very communicative and helpful with anything we needed and everything was very clean. Plenty of towels, blankets and little extras around the house that make the stay very comfortable. Plenty of things to do in the area too if you can tear yourself away from the beautiful view and amazing sunsets. There is no water access from the backyard even though it looks like there might be in the photos, and the bathroom situation is a little confusing: listed as 2.5, but it’s really 1.5 with an extra toilet in the basement. For our family of 6, we made it work. Thank you to our hosts for everything.

The house was perfect for us! We booked a long weekend for the eclipse as Lorain was in the path of totality. The house had enough space for everyone to enjoy and the outside was beautiful too. The house was clean and had everything we needed and if we needed anything Erie’s Market was across the street (excellent Indian food)! The neighborhood is quiet and we slept well. It was a great stay. Rob and Melissa were excellent hosts. We hope to be again soon.

Rob and Melissa supplied this home with everything you might need or want - entertainment activities, TV channels, wi-fi, kitchen items, linens, even night lights. And the view - WOW! Convenience store across the street; close to parks; on a cul-de-sac; it has it all. Rob was so friendly and accommodating. The owners are to be commended for such a marvelous home-away-from-home.

Our three-generation family had a very nice time at this home. The best part of this home is the view out the large glass windows or from the yard. There's plenty to do in the area...parks to visit, a nice nearby beach, bike trails and we even did a boat ride down the Black River. West Side Market in Cleveland was about a 30 min drive. We cooked some meals in the house and had a few nice meals out. Vermilion is about 10+ minutes away. The host, Rob, is very easy to be in touch with if you have questions or concerns. All in all, we had a very nice time.

House was clean and as shown in pictures. Had all our kitchen needs plus some. Owners very quick to respond to messages. View was amazing and we all loved feeding the squirrels. Convenience store next door and ice cream parlor just a few minute walk was great too! Swimming beach and fishing pier super close too.

We absolutely enjoyed our short stay here. The house is just a short walk from the breakwaters and downtown. There is an ice cream parlor two blocks away. Cedar point is only 45 minutes away Cleveland is onty 30 mins away. There is a lot of things to do with in an hour drive which makes it a perfect location. For a family vacation. The house was clean and very nice. The kitchen has enough room for two people to cook in. The best part is the windows in the living room. We spent a good chunk of time just watching the birds fly by. There are also several squirrels that are pretty tame. There was peanuts by the outside door and if you were still they would take them right out of your hand. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I’m truly touched by the opportunity to have stayed the week at Rob & Melissa’s beautiful home on Lake Erie. Where to start!? The best part of my stay was the warmth, care and concern that these most wonderful people exude and became the most important part of my experience. The warm welcome note and sincere wishes for a bright outcome for the medical issues we faced touched our hearts. And the delicious flakey cheese pastry they had brought for my elderly mother and I were a very nice touch and a treat that lasted; a most generous gift. They were aware I’d traveled from CT to be with family during a time of consternation with a family member’s illness that had taken a toll on mom, who at 91 years of age, needed a respite. As mom entered the home she uttered, “I feel like I’m on a movie set!” She was happier than I ever could have imagined; I was happy and felt that it did the trick. The home sits on a bluff above Lake Erie with all the awe and magnificence that comes with the changing weather of early December. The layout was open to the most gorgeous wall of windows facing the lake. The yard was a nice size for my dogs and the only note of caution is that dogs must either be leashed or listen impeccably to avoid the edge…it’s a good sized drop. Yet, 2 of mine, blind old fellows, managed it well with verbal commands. Just know your dog and you’ll be fine. I was appreciative of the recommendations for local shopping especially made convenient by the very nice folks at the market across the street. Great short order meals and a nice selection of items to pick up in an instant. Ordered several meals for us. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, billiards and foosball and a nice big TV added to the comfort and extra fun. Love the lighting array that suits any mood. The sofas are super comfy and the decor is simple and elegant. The beautifully decorated Christmas tree and decor put us in the spirit of the season at a time when our spirits needed it. Of note: Having a bedroom and bathroom on the entry level was great for mom’s limited mobility. Only 3 steps up the the kitchen dining room and living area were manageable with some assistance. Trust me! This is the home for anyone; you will not be disappointed and you’ll probably feel as we did; pampered and happy. Thanks Melissa and Rob…you are the best!

The lake view sold us on this rental and it did not disappoint. Even the storm afforded beautiful views over Lake Erie. Stunning views of the lake from the dining room, living room, back patio, kitchen and even from the master bedroom. We had a lot of fun with the billiards table! The one shared bathroom with toilet upstairs was well stocked. Downstairs toilet was clean and conveniently placed between the kitchen and Billiards room. Really appreciated having the garage to park in. Our host, Robert, was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your home!

We have booked various accommodations at 6 lake view properties since 2018. This property has surpassed the entire selection with outstanding cleanliness, furnishings, panoramic lake views, overall property condition and presentation (indoors and out). In addition, the owners were extremely helpful and responsive. We felt entirely welcome and comfortable throughout the booking process, including the actual 4 nite stay. We intend to return to this property for future trip plans. We highly recommend this property.

Very roomy split level with a wall of windows overlooking Lake Erie. Very well furnished, comfortable couches and updated kitchen. Great communication with owner and check in/out was easy and problem free. Area is great if looking to do things in both Cleveland and Port Clinton areas.
