About this house rental

Welcome to Mitiwanga, a private beach community located between Huron and Vermilion on beautiful Lake Erie. This home has a large open floor plan that can accommodate large gatherings. The family room has 2 full size couches, extra seating and is open to the kitchen which has 2 eating counters that can seat 5. The dining room table can provide seating for 8-12 people. The first floor also has a large laundry room, full bath with a shower and a queen bedroom. Upstairs includes another queen bedroom, 2 walk through bedrooms with a twin bed in each that lead to 2 back bedrooms with 3 twin beds in each. There is also a fifith bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed.
A pack-n-play crib, guard rail and kid's booster seat are also available.
This house has a large screen TV with cable and DVD in the family room, additional TV's with DVD only capability in several upstairs bedrooms, free WIFI throughout, games, books and puzzles.
Outside is a large, private patio with furniture and dining table/chairs, and a fenced-in yard with lots of grass, trees and a Bocce court (we provide the Bocce balls!) and a corn hole set. A gas grill for dinner and portable fire-pit for your Smores dessert, extend the fun after dark. There is designated parking for 6 cars at the house with additional parking around the corner.
The private beach and basketball, volleyball and tennis courts are for Mitiwanga guests only and located less than 100 yards from the house. Cranberry Creek Marina is a short walk away for boat/jet ski docking and launching.

We loved the “homey” feel of the property and the neighbors were all so friendly and welcoming! Staying at this property, walking distance from the lake, definitely beat staying in a hotel!! The property was perfect for 13 of us gather and spend thanksgiving together. We spent the chilly mornings collecting shells on the beach and taking wonderful pictures of Lake Erie. My toddler loved being so close to trains and being able to see and hear pretty much any time of the day. The property owners are great to deal with, we had some plumbing issues, and they were quick to respond us even late at night.

We love Mitiwanga but it is sometimes tough to find accommodations in which we need separate beds. This place met all of our needs, a quick hop to the beach, several beds, a great kitchen to food prep while conversing with others and a large dining area to enjoy big meals! Thanks so much for a lovely stay!!! We'll be back!

Very clean and cute place. Not much parking and house on a busy street. Didn’t feel comfortable having a group outside due to close neighbors and trying to keep fairly quiet. Otherwise great experience.

It was a comfy space that accommodated our large group. It was pretty clean, but there was a dirty diaper (pull-up) in the drawer in one of the bedrooms upstairs. We wished there were a few more pots and pans to cook in. We needed a toaster or toaster oven. Location and neighborhood were amazing. Overall we had a good time and would rent from here again.😃

This house was central for our group and worked okay. The upstairs is odd. The kitchen is small, but the backyard and patio was great for hanging out and having a fire. Nothing outstanding, but it worked. Community volleyball, park, and beach would bring us back.

The house and location were perfect for our large family. Fenced in back yard is perfect for a toddler. Lots to do! Beautiful private beach, searching for beach glass, benches on the dune to watch the sunset, grilling and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We enjoyed our stay!

Lovely little house with surprisingly a whole lot of space! Beautiful back yard with lots to do. Kids loved riding bikes to the beach and tennis courts. They also found some fun toys, games and puzzles! Would stay here again in a second. A++++

We loved how open the downstairs is. Outdoors was nice.The kitchen was also nice and came with pots and pans both keurig and a regular coffee pot, crockpot,toaster etc... If you plan on using the fire pit you have to get wood for it. We found small $5 bundles at Dollar General right up the road. Upstairs it is a little cramped if you have older kids and older family members but there is more beds then listed and very much appreciated. This was good so we could all spread out in the tight spaces. Overall I would recommend this place it was quiet, safe and entertaining. They have plenty of outside games, and equipment to use. The only thing I would recommend is to bring extra towels especially if you use more then one with a group of 10.

We stayed at this Lake House for a Girls Getaway Trip. As front line healthcare workers we were impressed that the property was so clean and located in a great location. We walked to the beach shoreline in less than 3 minutes. There were 7 people in my group and each person had their own bed and sleeping area. Very nice stay, would definitely stay again.

House was great with respect to space... tons of beds (especially if there are singles or kids), incredible back patio/yard space complete with outdoor yard games/activities and nice patio furniture, and a huge dining room table which was great for indoor games/meals. A short stroll in a quiet neighborhood gets you to a small "private" beach area right on lake Erie. We didn't use the local tennis/basketball/volleyball courts noted, but it was nice that they're available. No central air, but there are window units. Since we went in the fall, heat wasn't an issue at all, but it could get a little warm in the summer I'm guessing. Furniture/bedding was a bit dated, but everything was still comfortable and worked great. We also spent the vast majority of our time outside because it was a perfect early fall weekend. Also FYI, there is a Keurig only (no drip coffee pot), only a callout to make sure future renters know to get k-cups v. ground coffee/filters). Definitely would come back for another trip if we're in the area! Thanks Tim/Dan for a great weekend and being so responsive leading up to and during out stay

We booked this property literally 2 days before our stay and it was perfect for our needs. The beds are endless! There was plenty of room for the 12 of us. The common area was also great...plenty of space and the fact that we could separate the 2 dining tables to make even more space was awesome. The kitchen was fully stocked and we celebrated a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner. The men loved the bocci court and the kids loved the proximity to the water and the glass found on the "beach". This house would be an amazing summer rental as well!

Recommend this property and would book again. Very short walk to the beach and especially enjoyed the view of Cedar Point across the lake after dark. Appreciated the “things to do” binder as the kids sure did enjoy the Seneca Caverns. Wish I would have booked it a few days longer!!!

This house was the perfect setting for our family Holiday celebration. Plenty of space for visiting, eating and sleeping. Very clean and comfortable. The park at the end of the street overlooking Lake Erie is absolutely beautiful. A bald eagle flew overhead and made our day. My family had a great time at the house. It was close to the beach and a basketball court. The family enjoyed cornhole and having great conversations around the big white table. There was only one room (family room) with cable but the other rooms had a TV and DVD player. The owners quickly responded to all questions while on our stay. Definitely would stay again.

My husband and I and our three children and their families stayed here for a week and none of us wanted to leave!!!There were twelve of us and we all were very comfortable. The lake house has the old cottage charm but updated and is very clean and well maintained. It has a nice fenced in back yard that is private where we had corn hole tournaments. Kids played tennis, volleyball and basketball as well as went swimming everyday. It is a very short walk to the beautiful private beach. Sunsets are awesome! Good restaurants and cute shops close by. Going back next year!!!
