Towels were thin and only 1 per person available. Lighting was bad, furniture is old and too low to the floor for seniors. Dining table was so large that it was hard to move around. The patio door didn’t lock. Was not what I expected.

Great condo just one block from the main hub of kileau kona. Clean well stocked and nice lanai to sit out on in the evening and morning . Walking distance to shops and places to eat. Definitely try Da Shark Shack.

Right in downtown, great location. The condo was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the lanai was spacious. The kitchen is very small and did not lend itself to much cooking. The toilet hose leaked, and the property manager told us to put a towel down.

We had a nice staycation, for the weekend. The rooms where just right and comfy. A/C worked great after working a long day in the sun. Small kine difficulty with the wifi but the manager contacted us to let us know to rebut the system. Other than that everything worked out just fine.

Older property. A/C in liv rm only. Fan in bedroom on, on high speed continuously no on/off switch. No bath mats 4 floors. Master vanity pretty small & useless. Entry door rusty. Screens on lanai lots of big holes. Doors to lanai easily locked you on it. Nothing like plastic wrap or a pair of scissors provided. No beach towels, but 2 beach chairs only,cooler & 2 tiny freezer packs. Overall, needs work & better cleaning.

This was a great location to stay at a great price. Pictures are always a bit deceiving so I did find that it's a bit older than I had expected but honestly, who cares? It's priced appropriately. If it was newly renovated it wouldn't be affordable. So don't expect perfection. Expect a 90's revenue property, not a modern owner-occupied suite. It's safe, clean and in a fantabulous location. I would stay again.

A very spacious apartment. The Lanai was perfect to sit and have breakfast. Excellent air conditioning. Nice to have 2 bathrooms and a washer & dryer. The parking spot is a bonus. Within walking distance to a wide range if restaurants. Also not far from a Safeway Supermarket. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Lovely condo in town on the west/church side of this small 4 story complex. We’ve stayed in many different units here over the years, love the convenience, parking garage, the sun decks with gas grills & the little swimming pool. The condo owner has made beautiful updates over the last couple years….nice kitchen remodel, ceiling fans added, and this year, freshly painted and new air conditioning! It just gets better and better :)

The property is old which was not projected on the site, no ocean view, the air conditioner is loud, the patio door auto locks if you close it when going out to sit, and there is a large buckling of the floor in the hallway where the baby fell twice. We booked this place because it had a pool but it was closed. The owner was nice when we talk to her.

Beautiful 2 bed 2bath with everything you need for a Kona vacation. Huge lanai and ALII Drive quiets down by midnight. Down at seawall by 7am to see what 's happening. Only concern about is the condensation from overhead A/C is falling and lifting laminate in hallway. Our stay was ONO

Location location LOCATION!!! This is amazingly tucked away on the main drive in Kona with a gorgeous view from the huge outdoor balcony. You can walk to everything within 10min. The inside is a little dated and could use some extra TLC but it’s a old building and let’s be honest you do come to Hawaii to hang out in the hotel room! It’s clean and comfortable just a little dated. We will definitely be back next time we are in Kona

I cannot give a very good rating because lots of dust under beds, ceiling in bathroom needs repairs due to peeling, black mold behind toilet and closet doors need repairs and painting There are cockroaches but that is not owners fault, every place we have rented in Hawaii has roaches (7 trips to Hawaii) it’s part of the tropics.

We loved the location for walking. The condo is spacious & the lanai is large and feels very private. I loved looking out on the church, coconut palms, and plumeria. You are steps from Ali’i Drive and can walk to restaurants and shopping. Sunsets are gorgeous! My husband wants to stay another month.

This home was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located. There are oodles of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Having two bedrooms with TWO bathrooms was amazing! The kitchen was perfectly stocked and set-up. We adored the large, fully screened back patio. The beach gear was very well thought out, and made our beach days so enjoyable. Truly felt like a home away from home!

The Pro's to this stay, was the convenient location to Kona and all it's shops, restaurants and beaches. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 4 adults was fantastic. It was well stocked with gear for your ocean excursions and so conveniently located so that you could cruise the island. Finally, I would recommend this property to family and friends. However, there was a few things that we were a little disappointed in, but I will follow up with the owner as it didn't hinder our vacation at all.

This property was great for myself and wife and 2 college students. There was some construction going on in the complex but noise was limited. Parking and elevator were a must for us and this unit had them. There were plenty of toys for the beach which we made good use of. Kitchen had everything that we needed. One small complaint was the air conditioning fan was a little loud. Would definitely stay there again when we want to be in the village

My husband, 1 year old son, and I had an awesome stay at Kona Plaza. The building is old, but the rental was perfect for us. Having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was helpful, and we spent most of our time (especially meals) out on the super spacious Lanai. We were especially grateful that the Lanai was closed off as our son has taken to throwing everything in his path. The best part of this rental was the location. We easily could have gone without a car rental. We walked to the beach in the mornings, spent the hot afternoons across the street in the grass under the palm trees, and utilized the pool as soon as it cooled down each day. Also, super close to multiple stores which made shopping easy. Thank you for an awesome vacation. We will definitely be looking you up for future vacations in Kona!

We had a fabulous stay at the Kona Plaza. Just walking into the unit made us feel like we were on vacation. The tropical furniture is comfortable and inviting. The full kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more. It was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, no competing for closet space or shower time. It was nice to have access to everything we needed for the beach so we didn't have to pack it all, and having the washer/drier was a plus. So nice to be able to bring clean and dry clothes home. Our favorite place was the spacious lanai. We enjoyed our morning coffee there listening to the birds and, on Sunday, the bells and singing from the church next door. In the evenings we were treated to the live music from Gertrude's down the road. When we wanted quiet, we could shut the sliders and didn't enjoy the peace. It has air conditioning, but we only needed the low setting during the hottest part of the day. At night, there were cool breezes and since the unit doesn't face the sun, it never got overly hot. The underground parking is great and we never had to get into a hot car. The condos have not one, but two sun decks, where you can BBQ, check out books from the little library, or enjoy the gorgeous ocean view. As for location, you couldn't ask for more. Centrally located on the main drag, we were within walking distance of all the restaurants, bars and shops. We tried a new place every day and still didn't get to all the ones we wanted to try. We only had one minor issue and Shane was very quick to address it and make sure it didn't impact our stay. He was great to work with. We would definitely come here again.

Our family of three seniors stayed here for two weeks. Unfortunately while we were here, we were impacted by exterior floor resurfacing. For two days of our stay we had to leave our suite by 8 o’clock in the morning and not return until 5 PM. And there was a bit of grinding noise. As to the actual unit, we found it to be spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed eating our meals and playing cards on the lanai. The suite had ceiling fans, as did the lanai, and the unit has air conditioning. I would say the air conditioner needs an overhaul as it didn’t seem to have good airflow, and it was very noisy. Another plus about the unit, was the direction that it faced. The church was a lovely view, and the lanai was sheltered from direct sunlight. The view seemed nicer than some condos facing other directions. We also took advantage of the view from the fourth floor sundeck on occasion, and enjoyed the pool. As others have mentioned, the amenities had a bit of a tired feel; the beds were only supplied with two thin pillows, and the bathroom towels and mats looked tired. There was a lot of beach gear to choose from, and the kitchen was well supplied. For us this was a prime location, close to beaches, the Harbor, live music and many eateries. We would definitely recommend staying here.
