Perfect family vacation! The cottage had everything we needed. Close to several restaurants and island shops. Easy walk down the street to the beach at The Sandbar. Bathroom and kitchen kits were perfect. Towels, beach towels, and linens were high quality. Very clean. Private backyard that was largely shaded, but you could always find a little sun.

This is a solid place for families. That’s said, there are a couple of things to give you a heads up on. First, the patio and pool area has no table for our-door eating. This was a miss for our large group. Secondly, the back yard is infested with mosquitoes. And while you’d think that would make us less interested in dining outside, they aren’t around during lunch time. But morning and evening time, beware. The place has NO household supplies. While this can be standard for rental homes in our experience on AMI, this was our first that didn’t provide a welcome package of sponge, dish washing soap, dishwasher pods, and trash bags. We had to buy everything, which was annoying since some things were sold out at the stores and took us days to procure. Not a good experience given the price point of this place. The floors upstairs were filthy, our feet were black from walking around up there after the first day. We used shoes after that. There is one bed (the queen in the downstairs bedroom) that was old and uncomfortable. And the bedding in every room was old; old pillows and old blankets. Again, for the price point it was disappointing. If we stay there again, I would ask about new bedding or ship my own ahead of time; it’s that bad.
Overall, the location is good, the pool is great, the outdoor shower was clean and good, and the home is comfortable given the layout and our family needs with small children. I would stay there again.
