About this house rental
Close to Northfield Mount Hermon School, The Gill Tavern, The Farm Table & Kringle Candle, Crumpler Fox Golf Course. You'll love this place because of the ambiance, privacy, the setting & the view. This place is great for couples, solo adventures, and business travelers.

A 900 square foot space, with pull down queen Murphy bed. The mattress is very comfortable. The apartment has a living area, gallery kitchen, and bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet. Off the apartment is a 200 square foot deck, raised with a beautiful view of the trees and the Leyden hills beyond. The deck is private.

Our apartment is self contained. It has its own entrance, and its own deck for your private use. The apartment is adjacent to our house, but the view from each deck does not look out at the other deck.
Other things to note
Hickory Hill Treetop Apartment is owned by the proprietors of Hickory Hills Pet Resort. The apartment sits well back from the facility. During the day there will be occasional noise from barking dogs.

Nice property, tucked in the woods. The Vrbo has a good layout; owners thought of everything! Lots of birds. Saw an owl last night - pretty cool!

What a wonderful place to stay!! We were in town for my 50th high school reunion, hadn’t been back to the area in 35 years. Our accommodations enhanced a beautiful weekend, and the foliage was the cherry on top!
Spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and decorated. Well equipped with every utensil, and kitchen appliance you could need! Comfy bed, great shower & good water pressure too! Secluded and quiet, but very convenient to Bernardston, Northfield and Greenfield as well as I-91. Highly recommend and will book again if we’re back in the area, thank you to our hosts!

While the scenery was beautiful, The owners live in the house attached to the garage apartment. They do not show pictures of the snow plow equipment, the lawnmower the trucks that are all parked directly beneath the deck. They also did not indicate that there may or may not be dogs from the kennel on their back porch, making whining noises. I was left a sticky note on the front door the second day telling me that I had left a light on for 24 hours on the outside of the building. They wanted me to turn the light off. I thought that was very unfriendly. Then the last day they parked their company van directly behind where they asked guests to park, so it was difficult to back up and leave. The owner also chose to use the leaf blower at the exact time when all of my relatives were telling me goodbye and blowing leaves up around our cars, as we are pulling out. There was no. luggage rack, which would’ve helped. I would also recommend a lamp by the bed, which was not available. I would also recommend moving the microwave to a more steady counter instead of a rolling cart, which was inconvenient, as you had to reach over the air conditioner machine to place things in and out of the microwave. The steps leading up to the garage apartment are steep and not deep so be cautious with your luggage. They have signs and labels everywhere indicating what to do or what not to do.
