RESTful yurt in charming Hinsdale; pet-friendly with multiple hiking options

First, I have to get this out of the way; the bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. Even the incinerator bathroom/toilet. I was amazed.The yurt had everything you would need. The location was stunning. My little HRV made it up the hill fine. The walk to the main bathroom was easy. The towns were so quaint. Shannon even messaged me about a Saturday event that we went to and enjoyed. I would definitely go back. Peaceful, lots of nature trails and hikes, we canoed the river and when we had a rainy day, we lit the fire in the yurt and read and napped and enjoyed the sounds of rain. Communicative, thought of everything you may need, and comfortable. 15 out of 10.

This was our second visit to the yurt and we were happy to return. It's very peaceful & nestled into the trees - perfect for a quick getaway.The yurt has what you need for some basic Coleman stove cooking, eating, cleaning, and relaxing inside or outside. The wood stove inside is very efficient and effective at heating the yurt. We didn't use the outside fire pit this time because it was a pretty rainy weekend.The toilet by the yurt is lovely and clean and only a few steps away.They've done a bunch of work on the property in the year and half since we last visited including a 2nd yurt! It is far enough away to feel you have privacy and close enough that voices and music can carry over a bit.Communication with Shannon was excellent, as it was the first time. She is thorough, quick to respond, and very generous.Highlights of the area for us were the state park across the street for daily walks, a short distance from the Brattleboro Co-op where we stocked up on groceries, and a short distance from a wonderful distillery with great spirits.We will definitely be staying again in the future!!!

We stayed at the yurt to celebrate my birthday and it was such a wonderful experience! We had an amazing time hiking in the forest right across the street with our pups, it was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what we were hoping for. One thing we especially loved was having access to a full bathroom down the hill by the main house. That honestly made a huge difference and made the stay feel even more comfortable and convenient.The yurt itself was cozy and charming. The wood stove made it feel extra special, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We also had such a great interaction with the owners, they were so kind and welcoming (I believe they were making syrup while we were there!), which made the stay feel even more warm and personal.The only small downside for us was how close the two yurts are to each other. We could hear music from the other yurt, and their dog was off-leash and didn’t seem very friendly, so we were a little hesitant about letting our dogs out. That said, aside from the closeness of the yurts, we truly enjoyed our one-night stay and had a really lovely birthday celebration.Overall, it was a cozy, memorable experience and we’re really glad we chose to stay here!

Stacy and her husband were very communicative and accommodating. We had everything we needed in the yurt and they provided us with some extra supplies as well. Would definitely stay again!
