This second-floor, oceanfront condo is exactly what you need for a breezy stay! The kitchen and living room area are very open and perfect for entertaining as the ocean view stretches across the entire condo. This coastal retreat has a large balcony overlooking the ocean, offering the perfect spot for picture-perfect photos and selfies!
This floor plan has the bedrooms on one side of the condo and the entertaining area on the other. The very large primary bedroom has a king bed. The guest room has two double beds and a bathroom that you can open from the bedroom or the hallway. The location is simply unbeatable; you will be only minutes from downtown Fernandina Beach. The Omni Resort at Amelia Island has access to many restaurants, pools, and bike paths.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Positives: the view, the view, the view. Clean pool area, nice overall facilities. Nicely equipped patio in unit. There are a couple of beach chairs in the closet. Granite countertops are a nice upgrade as is the tile floor throughout. Also great closet space and plenty of luggage racks!
I'll preface the negative comments by saying we've stayed in about 6 different ocean front condos in Shipwatch, Turtle Dunes, and Beachwalker over the past 4 or 5 years, so we've come to expect that a condo asking over $350/night has a certain elevation of accommodation which I felt was lacking in this unit. The overall feel of the unit is a bit tired. 1990s wall paper, original bath fixtures/showers etc. The Master bedroom is furnished like an economy hotel and and somewhat unappealing.
Certainly not the fault of the condo owner is that the bedrooms are over the parking lot so you can constantly hear cars coming and going, honking horns, people talking, car alarms being set, luggage being dragged across the pavers. If you need a quieter sleeping situation, I would recommend a different condo. Or, change the windows in the bedrooms for better soundproofing. I would only book this condo again if it were redecorated.
