About this apartment rental

Brand new bed! Located in the heart of the upscale Princeville golf course community lies our Hale Moi condos across the street from Hideaways Beach, and nearby overlooks to Hanalei Bay, capturing beautiful evening sunsets! The One Hotel and the Westin are also up the street with awesome grounds to enjoy and restaraunts to eat at. Hale Moi resort condominium lies right off of the famous Makai Golf Course and tennis club, open to public. The condo is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views of the mountains, forestry and sunsets. It sleeps 2 people--there is one king size bed accessible by a sturdy and secure ladder to a loft (NOTE: see photos--you MUST be prepared to climb up and down the ladder! It's fun! But please be careful!). Princeville Shopping Center is minutes away and convenient for guests to shop for groceries at Foodland, get gas, shop at boutiques and galleries, stop at the bank, and eat at various restaurants and bars.
NOTES: On arrival, your designated parking spot will be in the first Hale Moi driveway located off the main Ka Haku Rd. Please park in #202 (white paint on driveway). Retrieve the parking pass from inside the condo and hang it on your rear view mirror. PLEASE return it upon departure to avoid a $25 fee for misplaced parking passes.
If need be, you may also park in any "permit" slot. Upon departure, please place keys back into lock box located by the door at 202B.

We do ask that you do not leave any alcoholic beverages in the fridge upon leaving. There are large trash bins outside in parking lot.

I am saddened to leave this review, but it’s necessary to share. I come to Kauai very often. I’ve been there eight times since 2015 and I always stay in a condo at Hale Moi. This was my first time staying in this particular unit. From the beginning, I had a bad impression of the place. The front door was warped & had a big gap at the bottom and the door was very jiggly, to the point of me not feeling safe to sleep there at night. The carpet was absolutely horrible, stains everywhere. I was afraid to walk on there barefooted. And to top it all off the toilet sink had poop stains in it. Somebody had used the toilet apparently after the cleaner had cleaned it and left diarrhea stains in the bowl. The owner of the condo sent her 80-year-old ex-husband to clean it and I felt so bad but something like that should’ve never happened because from the beginning it gave me a really bad impression of the unit. And the cherry on top was a giant cockroach on the wall on my last night there that fell inside the couch where I was sleeping, so it kept me up trying to kill this thing. because there was no way I was gonna go to bed with a cockroach inside the couch cushions. I told the owner this and her answer was well it’s Hawaii, there’s gonna be bugs and the stains of the carpet are from the red dirt of Kauai. I have stayed at seven other units at Hale Moi & none of them had cockroaches or horrible stains like that. Or mold on the bathroom ceiling. Do not recommend.

We had a wonderful time at the condo. My son (12) stayed on the sofa (extra bedding was provided by Michael) wehere the adults stayed upstairs. Everything was clean and organized, thank you again that we could use the beach equipment.Whenever we had a question Michael immediately replied and was available for us.Great calm location with only a short trip by car to the supermarket.

We loved relaxing at the home after a long day outside. The kitchen offered everything we needed to cook any meals. The home was clean, many windows that brought in amazing sunlight, and an awesome view off the balcony. We were very grateful for the AC and fans, it was quite humid when we traveled. Check in and check out were a breeze, contacting management was simple with fast responses. Loved staying here!

We spent 2 nights in the cozy getaway for a girls’ trip. Not only was the unit in a great location, it was comfortable and had nice amenities. Our experience was additionally improved because our hosts were available to help with all questions and were fully invested in making sure we were enjoying our stay.

The property was very clean, well furnished, and well ventilated to provide a refreshing stay! My 7 year old son loved the loft bedroom and there were windows aplenty to help keep us cool on a hot day. I appreciated the pitcher of cold water waiting for us at check in and the host was top notch for communication and hospitality! We booked this VRBO because we wanted to ride the Haena shuttle to Ke'e park to hike the Kalalau trail. Thankfully, this property was just a 15 min walk from the shuttle pickup by the Makai golf course, and a foodland grocery market was conveniently located at the street entry to the resort area. I had no problems with parking and actually preferred the permitted parking because it was well shaded from the sun. The balcony also had a nice view of the forest and mountains that was both tranquil and private. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I hope I can visit again!

This condo was in the most perfect location to explore the northern areas of Kauai! Even on a rainy day, we were able to explore and walk the beautiful surrounding neighborhoods. This condo was clean and well appropriated. If you don't like ladders, this isn't the place for you. There is a steep, yet sturdy and secure ladder leading up to the sleeping area. After I had used it a time or two, it was fine.

We loved this condo, it was so beautiful! Great location in Princeville, 5 mins away from Hanalei. Nothing negative to say about it, the only thing i would mention is that if you are someone with limited mobility, this may not be the place for you because the bed is up in a loft in which you have to climb a wooden ladder to get up to.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the balcony, the close proximity to the North Side’s activities, and catching the sunset in the park by the VRBO. We loved staying in this well stocked condo for our exploration of the north coast. Close to hideaway beach and walking distance to queens bath, we found the apartment to be comfortable, super clean, and stocked with all needed essentials and more. We loved mornings on the patio, looking over the jungle and watching the birds. Highly recommended for your Kauai trip!

We stayed here to attend our friends’ wedding and had the best time. This was the ideal place for us to stay, so clean, had proper kitchen ware, as well as beach gear: boogie boards, a cooler, umbrella… even an office desk for me to get work done at night. The backdrop is gorgeous, and the loft space was fun for my son to climb up into for bedtime. Thanks so much, we love Kauai and we will be back!

This rental is set, in my opinion in one of the most Beautiful places on the island. It is a 5 mins walk to my favorite beach “hideaways” and less then 10 mins walking distance from may favorite resort on all the islands. Content with AA 3

Condo was easy to access and has all the amenities for a couple to enjoy some quality time. Bed was comfortable (Pillows just "ok"), kitchen well-equipped and they had beach chairs/towels/umbrellas. The description accurately describes that the bed is in a loft. In hindsight, that was the only negative. We had an enjoyable time and may choose to stay there again. Owner was very friendly and easy to get in touch with.

We stayed for 3 nights here and totally loved it. First off the place was so well kept and I’m in fact taking notes on how they have arranged and set up things in the most elegant and efficient manner. The place is right for a couple and has all the amenities you need. The icing on the cake is the awesome host who went above and beyond to get us a car charger for both iPhone and android :) and truly appreciate the flexibility we had a late check out as well. Overall great experience. The only thing to watch out is the bed is in attic at the top and will have less air circulation think creative to get the fans and ac on when you sleep and it works totally fine!

We were in this pleasant condo for a week. Plenty of room for a couple. There are only a couple of things to be aware of. First is that the "bedroom" is the loft, accessed by a 9' ladder. The bed there is comfortable. The third bed is a sofa that can be arranged into a surprisingly good bed. The condo is essentially one spacious room so it's all one contiguous space. The balcony has a nice view and the A/C works great (also has a dehumidifier setting if you want less cooling). The place is very clean and well stocked including a water filter pitcher and ice packs in the refrigerator and plenty of towels and bathroom supplies. We didn't have any issues with noise -- the roosters didn't even start crowing until 8:00. The management is pretty responsive to VRBO and text messages. There is a pizza place right across the street and a nice ocean overlook a short walk away. Hanalei is a short drive away and has lots of nice stores and restaurants (be aware that the bridge to Hanalei will be closed intermittently starting Jan 2, 2024 through February). Do recommend (as long as you can handle that ladder).

This apartment has everything you need. It’s cozy, quiet, clean, has amazing view into the green backyard and is in a great location. We especially enjoyed the balcony and cozy couch during rainy weather. The bed is comfortable and in a loft (reachable via ladder). We’d come back here in the future!

Do not stay at this property!! The owner is unfeeling, unethical and only cares about money. My wife broke her ankle. We requested to change our reservation so she had a chance to recover. We chose a date that he had no reservation. He refused stating it would be bad for his budget. We lost everything we had paid because he wouldn't give us any money back. He even kept the cleaning fee. There are better properties in Princeville. Don't risk what we did. Rent somewhere else. Also, be aware that you have to climb a ladder to get to the bedroom.

Condo was exactly as described and more. Many amenities, which was helpful for our short stay. Loved the privacy off the back patio, even the rooster crowing in the morning. Loft bedroom was easy and quaint. Other reviews spoke of noise, but we had no issues. Location is within walking distance of multiple beaches, restaurants, shops, golf, etc. Would definitely stay here again.
