Cleanliness of accommodation, location of the apartment, air conditioning.

The only thing missing was a balcony but these old houses in the historic part of town do not have balconies.

The view to the city walls and partial sea view are nice

I'm afraid there were many things not to like: - the bathroom was completely not ready for new tourists: liqud soup dispenser was full but not working, towels were only partially clean (see pictures) and had clearly seen better days, and there was only half a roll of toilet paper - the kitchen was poorly equipped, with even washing-up liquid missing (hence why we had nothing to wash our dishes with), and no wine glasses; the water glasses had a dead locust in them (see picture), which did not make things better. THere was a coffee maker, but not even a teaspoon of coffee to use (bringing one's own for a one-night stay is not reasonable to expect) - although we had asked to have the top-floor apartment when booking (almost one month before staying), the request was not answered, and we got the 1st floor apartment, whose sea view was only partial - we assumed the person who gave us the keys and took our IDs was going to return them after making photocopies, instead they said they need to keep them overnight, which is highly unusual (and illegal). We had to insist we need them back that same day, and emailed instead the scanned copies This would have all been ok if this had been a bargain, but at 100EUR a night, I cannot give a higher rating, in terms of price-quality ration, than 3/10. I actually do think the host did his best, I'm just afraid that this 'best' isn't good enough given today's standards in the small-business hospitality industry, and given the high expectations of booking.com travellers. Of our entire Croatian holiday, this was by far the least enjoyable stay (although it was the most expensive!), and for these reasons, I could not recommend it.

Overall very satisfying. Directly at the Adria and close to everything in Novigrad what a family need to enjoy a relaxing holiday

No possibility to hang towels in the bathroom as no hooks or towel handle is available and a defective hand shower which are small issue for such a nice apartment.

It was really clean, very close to the center, very nice view.

There is no soap in the bathroom.
