Home away from home. Rickie was great at communication. He even went out of his way to provide us with life jackets for us not so good swimmers for kayaking. Very clean home. (We would have recommend “no plug ins and fragrances” because my husband is severely allergic, but after airing out the house and blankets it was a wonderful stay. We spent a lot of time on the dock and by the fire pit. (Note that the hill is steep going to the dock) We would stay again and recommend this place for any friend or family member. Town is only 6 minutes awayso…. Groceries, pizza and laundry mat are close.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. House was located in a remote area, which was nice if want to get away from city noise, it had easy access to water, the use of the kayaks was a nice bonus. It was quiet and very well kept! 10 out of 10 stars!!!!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated. Quiet neighborhood. My husband and daughter had a blast fishing. They caught and released at least a dozen catfish a piece. The walk down to the river pier is steep. Not something someone with mobility issues could do. We would stay again.

We could not park our motorhome on the property due to trees and a one lane road to get to the property and then could not even get a car to the property because of a jackknife truck accident. The host was very kind to refund our money but we still have not gotten the rest of our money from VRBO. I will not ever book again with VRBO. They have not refunded us after weeks of asking.

Getting up and down to the lake was EXHAUSTING. It is across the road and down a long, steep hill. We also found a rat king that almost made me leave. That is a group of mice whose tails get tangled, and they eventually die in a ball. This thing was obviously there awhile. Other than that it was great. We were there for the ark and creation museum. We weren’t at the house much. It had what we needed when we were there but I felt the need to clean everything after seeing signs of rodents.

We choose the Boyer Family cabin because we were taking our grandchildren to see the Ark. Not wanting to stay in a hotel with a pre-teen and a teenager. This was the perfect place. everyone had their own bed and there are 2 bathrooms. Although having use of a washer and dryer, would have been great.

We enjoyed our stay but were surpised that there was such a slope to go from the cottage down to the dock. We are older and getting back up that last bit of hill to the street was an effort. Some stone steps might be a great addition! The indoor fireplace was very nice. The house was comfortable. The steps to the second floor are a bit steep. The kitchen is well equipped.

I was a little freaked out with the hills and crazy roads but I'm not a country girl so I was unprepared. The owner was super nice and we had no issues ( except me learning to park on a hill :) We will visit again in the future.

Warm and cozy place for our family to stay for my niece's wedding. The kids really enjoyed the dock and the open space to play, even though it was rather chilly for us Californians. Overall, the lake house provided perfect views and atmosphere for our Kentucky visit!

Our family of 7 absolutely loved our stay at the lake house! It was tastefully furnished with many special touches including super comfy deck furniture, string lights, and an awesome fire table. The view was breathtaking, and we enjoyed the fire ring one evening beside the lake. We're so happy we found this hidden gem! Our only regret is that we didn't have enough time there since we visited the Creation and Ark museums. We highly recommend this beautiful place!

Had a wonderful time relaxing at this lake house. We loved using the kayaks, fishing off the dock, and just chilling out on the deck. It was an easy drive for a day trip into Cincinnati to go to the zoo and explore Smale Riverfront Park (about 45 min.) A nice place to chill out and have some quality family time. Agreed that the hill down to the lake is a little steep, it was no issue for our family but good to note for those who may have mobility issues. We loved our time here.

Such a cute home. Everything was nice and clean. Located by the river with two kayaks. Which we enjoyed using. Everything was perfect. We will be using this location again. I highly recommend this property. The owner was also very pleasant and helpful to deal with.

I liked the place and enjoyed the fishing for catfish on the lake. Beautiful neighborhood. I was disappointed that there was a road i between the house & the lake (I may have missed that in the listing) and that the was no good trail down to the dock. We had elderly parents visiting us and getting down to the dock was not durable for them. I was also not expecting the tall grass. But other than than that, the place served its purpose & we enjoyed the spacious deck.

There were a lot of stink bugs. A few medium size beetles. I wasn’t real crazy about the amount of bugs we had to kill each night. It was also extremely hot upstairs. The location was absolutely gorgeous! Very peaceful area. We were visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This location was good for both for us. It was about 45 minutes to each. We enjoyed our stay but the bugs were a dealbreaker for me.

We arrived late and left early. Wish this was closer to home so we could stay again. Stair case is a little small and we didn’t have sheets for the pull outs but that may be due to the number of guests put under our reservation. There were 5 of us and plenty of room! We loved the deck in front!

The owner of this property is great and super fast to respond to all your inquiries. A group of six of us bought concert tickets at the Beltierra Casino and the hotel was all booked. I found this place just 14 miles from the casino! I’m always looking to check in early but usually can’t get ahold of owners but this one was great! Messaged me and told me it was not booked the day prior so we could check in early! I have to have knee surgery in just four days from the time of our stay, so I couldn’t make the steps up to the two bedrooms so I slept on the sofa bed down stairs. We all know those are not comfortable but the owner seemed to have spare couch cushions in the laundry room… not sure why I never saw the couch they go to so I used them to place under the mattress of the sofa bed and let me tell you..!!! I have posturepedic bed at home (super comfortable and my happy place) but those visions made the sofa bed so much more comfortable it was genius! I was very thankful the owners had those put up and away in the laundry room! I will be back for a redemption from the casino and even if it’s not all booked up this is where my husband and I will stay! I should not that the road to get there for about maybe 3 miles is extremely narrow and when you have to get over for another car, it has a bit of a drop off (I think they may be in the process of widening it) that some smaller tires may not be able to handle…? Not sure just thought I’d throw that in there as the only down fall. That’s not there fault so I still have five stars and will still be back in my trail boss 💪
