Experience the wine country lifestyle at Casa Salida Del Sol, an ultra-modern hilltop retreat with amazing views from sunrise to sunset. Pour yourself a glass of wine, open the retractable dining room doors and gaze out at the mountains. Finish your day with a soak in the sunken saltwater hot tub looking at the valley, mountains and stars. Located minutes from wineries, this two-story home is available for long-term rental indulgence every winter and spring. This design lovers dream sits on almost an acre above open space and feels extremely secluded, though it is within the city limits with every creature comfort nearby. Nestled in the hills above Santa Rosa and its Fountaingrove wine region, this two-story ultra-modern home is indoor-outdoor living at its finest. Downstairs, you’ll find a sunken living room with flatscreen smart TV with Roku, a formal dining room with retractable walls opening to the terrace’s breathtaking views, a gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, a SubZero wine refrigerator, a casual rotunda dining nook flanked by wine shelves, a half bath, large pantry, office/den with chaise sleeper sofa, built-in storage cabinets and Sonos speakers. Vaulted ceilings throughout and large windows offer mountain and valley views from every room. Upstairs, you’ll find two en-suite bedrooms with queen-size beds, as well as a covered vista view terrace. Master bedroom has a walk-in closet with built-in dressers, as well as a Tempurpedic mattress. The backyard was designed for entertaining and features five separate sitting areas, including a grassy sundeck with two lounge chairs and a sunken hot tub. The property also features a separate gym with an infrared sauna for two, weights, equipment, a flatscreen smart TV and second desk workspace (adjustable stand-up desk) with a separate entrance (behind the detached garage). Garage parking not available to guests during stay. Fast 1GB WiFi. Located 15 minutes from wine tasting, 20 minutes from downtown Healdsburg and 25 minutes to Napa Valley’s charming town of Calistoga. Five minutes to gourmet grocery, if you’d rather stay home and enjoy the views.

Tranquility is the key word to this rental and there are not enough superlatives to describe this extraordinary home, gracious hosts and excellent location. Upon walking into the house we felt at home. All the photos and descriptions are exactly as depicted on their site.
The house interiors were lovely and beautifully decorated without the extra “stuff” and personal items cluttering up so many home rentals. House was immaculate with a well-stocked modern kitchen, walk in closet kept all of our belongs in one spot and the bathrooms were spotless with plush new towels.
Master bed comfy and well, there is something to be said about waking up and looking up at the stars and valley below and gradually watching the world awake.
The view was amazing. Actually, that is a misnomer. The view was astronomical. Every day we awoke to amazing sunrises as varied as each new date. Ultra-quiet except for the occasional far away hoots of an owl. And don’t get me started on the garden. I felt like we were living in a desert botanical garden and we were the only customers. Great salt water hot tub, fire pit and gas BBQ. What more could you ask?
The hosts Lisa and Damon were quick to respond to even the most mundane email/text. We loved this home, location and the gracious hosts. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to live for a short while in your fabulous home.
