The Cowshed - Duffys Ballybin

Great place to stay. It was great to walk through their forest on the property. Eva was very friendly on our arrival and so was the farm cat that my girls loved. Very clean. We enjoyed our two nights there.

Laundry on site, easy to travel around from the location, fantastic hosts and employee(kind, attentive, flexible, problem solvers), quiet but close to town, relaxing and plenty of parking.

We loved staying at Duffy's! We were here for ten days. It was a great homebase for travel around Ireland. We visited Dublin 3 days, which was a quick drive although we found the 103 bus also easy to navigate if you don't want to drive. We also did day trips to the West Coast and to Belfast. Our hosts were fantastic--Eve welcomed us on our first day and gave us many tips. They responded to our bevy of questions and came by to say goodbye as well. It was fun to be surrounded by animals in a farm setting, but also very close to Ashbourne if we needed anything. Kitty came to visit us several times. As others have noted they provided scones, milk, orange juice and tea on arrival with the good Irish butter. I did walk through Ballybin forest one afternoon when we were doing laundry, which was also easy to manage. I highly recommend this spot!

Enjoyed how this was country but so close to local amenities. Check in was easy and appreciate the use or washer and dryer.
