About this house rental
Welcome to this distinctive vacation property managed locally by Island Time Hilton Head.
This beautifully furnished and decorated home overlooks the Palmetto Dunes 11-mile lagoon and is just a 10-minute walk to the beach. With 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a private pool, and the beautiful Robert Trent Jones golf course, this is the perfect vacation home.
The open living areas allow you to see the lagoon and the pool and talk to family and friends in the kitchen, great room, or study. With a large dining room that seats 10, casual dining in the kitchen, a breakfast bar, and al fresco dining on the terrace or pool deck, there is plenty of room to entertain a crowd.
The master bedroom is located on the main floor and has a king-sized bed, a sitting area, and large walk-in closets. The bathroom includes his-and-hers granite counter-top vanities, a bathtub, and a walk-in shower. The junior suites have king- and queen-sized beds (on the same level as the master suite). Each bedroom has a private, full bathroom. The fourth bedroom is oversized with three twin beds.

• The pool and spa can be heated for an additional charge, give us a call for heating rates and to make arrangements. Pool and spa heat must be scheduled at 14 days prior to arrival. Additional fees apply for last minute requests prior to arrival or after arriving at the property. If the weather drops below 60 degrees, the pool may not be capable of being heated and or reaching optimal temperature.

The house is beautiful, but it wasn’t cleaned very well. The windows looking out the back of the house (which is a gorgeous view) were really dirty. It looked like the upper windows hadn’t been cleaned in years. The garage door was also broken and the ice maker didn’t work and had a “needs cleaned” light on it. A lot of the directions for the property were not clear like how to turn on the spa (by the way, the listing says there is a fee for heating the spa but don’t say that it is a flat $400 for an entire week even if you aren’t staying for a week) with all that being said, we did visit the week after hurricane Helene which could account for things not being done up to a usual standard. We enjoyed our time at the house and the neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous.

The trip was nice. We were a group of 6 family and friends. As beautiful as the photos of this house are, it was just ok. The beauty of this house is diminished because it needed a lot of love. The front stairs were covered in so much moss and algae they were slick. We entered through the garage. It was dank and musty. Who knows when the last time someone was there? However, knowing someone was coming the management company should have made sure it was neat and clean. the inside of the house at first glance was fine. then we found 2 of the 4 bathrooms were not completely operational. One of the rooms had trash in the cans.The kitchen was fully stocked with pots pans and dishes. It was very unorganized. Like things were not always together.The pool area was full of toys that I guess were left by whoever was there before us. All but 2 of the lounge chairs were so beat up we were afraid we would fall through. The furniture on the deck should have been thrown out. They even turned the cushions over. They were bad on both sides. WE were sold on the pictures but that's not exactly what we got.I get it, when you are renting your property you hope people will take care of your things the way you would. I know we rented at the end of the summer. Maybe it was better in May or June but I paid the same amount they did.We made the best of it.The location was great, within walking distance of the beach. There were lots of great restaurants nearby. There were groceries the liquor store, Walmart and pharmacies all very close by.I would indeed visit the area again.
