Laurel House is a short walk from Old Town and very quiet. It is comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The host was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Loved the central location of being minutes away from all the "spots" in Florence. Also, three days we did things 1.5 hours away from Florence (north, east, and south) - centrally located for that too. Owners did a great job of communication and making us feel welcome.

Every aspect of our stay was stellar. The house was decorated and appointed in such a wonderful and welcoming way. All of the little touches from the soaps, to the furniture were just perfect. My 8 year old was so excited when he found the "secret upstairs". He asked us "Do you think the owners know about this?" ;) This house was just fun all the way around, and even the free-standing bathtub was amazing. My personal favorite was the massive walk in shower with opposing shower heads. I would stay again for that alone! Not even really a complaint, but it took me a few minutes to figure out the entertainment system remotes. Not a big deal once I figured out which remote was the primary. Also, can I just say that finding the house stocked with proper garbage bags was refreshing. Plus paper towels. The little things that I usually have to go buy. Hats off for all of the thoughtful touches. Again, just an amazing and great time. All of my communication with George was timely and top notch. And the dining certificate was a classy touch! Would definitely stay again. 11/10+

The home was nice and conveniently located. The kids loved the secret stairs through the bookcase, but there needs to be a hook or something to hold it open. My granddaughter was scared to stay upstairs if the door was closed. The upstairs is kid friendly, but not so much for adults as several of us smacked our heads on the ceiling coming down the stairs. We enjoyed our stay none the less. The kitchen is not well equipped, but we made due. No mixing bowls, no electric griddle, and what was there looked like it was picked up at a thrift store. We were celebrating a birthday and had to go buy a bowl to mix the cake. They did have a hand mixer and one 9x13 glass pan we could bake it in. There was NO dishwasher, but there was a microwave, coffee pot and a toaster. They ask all guests to wash their dishes prior to leaving. Some of the dishes in the cupboard did not look clean, so we washed everything before we used it. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice, although they were not stocked very well with enough toilet paper or towels to last 8 people through the week. They did provide complementary little shampoo, etc. (like in a hotel) We ended up buying toilet paper and laundry soap to wash towels in the washer & dryer. The home is advertised to hold 10 people. We had 8 and I would not have wanted to have any more than that. It's a pretty small space. As a fire inspector, it bothered me that there are no egress windows in any of the bedrooms. They are not to code.

The house was adorable. Loved it. Loved the hidden staircase. Very cozy for our stay in Oregon. We are planning to make it an annual trip. Hosts were great. Left a gift card for a nice eating spot in Old Town. We accidentally packed the guest book so i had to send it back so that was an oops on me. Thanks for a great place to stay.
