About this house rental
Set in 3.5 hectares of rolling, wooded countryside, lulled by the murmur of the river, this magnificent mill—where the water sings thanks to its fully functional mechanism—is sure to charm you. You’ll love enjoying a drink under the old washhouse, which has been converted into a terrace.

On the first floor: a veranda with a breathtaking view of the woods and the river; an adjoining kitchen; a large living room with a fireplace and a view of the mill’s mechanism through the glass vault; a bedroom; a bathroom; and a separate toilet.
Upstairs: 3 bedrooms and 1 shower room, plus a separate toilet. One small bedroom with a 120/190 bed.
Ideal for 9 people; can accommodate up to 12.
Paris is 3 hours away, and Caen is 40 minutes away. Shops in Avranches (15) or Villedieu-les-Poêles (6 km); SNCF train station 5 km away
Not accessible to people with limited mobility.

This stone house, working water mill, and lush property oozes beauty and charm and is saturated with history. The house is half-museum, showing parts built in the 13c, the inner workings of the mill dating from the French Revolution, and evidence of its role in WWII as well. The modern half contains all the modern amenities with exceptionally spacious and lovely rooms. The property is centrally located, with several wonderful sites within a easy 10-30 minutes drive. Veronique and Oliver are friendly, helpful, kind and responsive hosts. I would give our stay 10 stars if I could. Many, many thanks for a wonderful experience. ************

Nous avons passé un bon séjour en famille. Le cadre est magnifique avec le jardin, le moulin, les ânes pour nous tenir compagnie !
Véronique a été disponible à nos différentes demandes.
Deux points d’attention :
- Nous étions 10 adultes (5 couples) et une des chambres est traversante avec deux autres chambres, sans ouverture, et nous avons trouvé qu’elle n’était pas forcément adaptée pour y dormir à deux.
- Également, nous avons emmené nos housses de couette / serviettes. Je préfère le préciser en commentaire comme nous ne l’avions pas forcément vu mentionné dans l’annonce.

Un magnifique gîte, vraiment mignon. La propriétaire est très serviable et disponible. Nous avons passé un très bon week-end entre amis.
