How the recepcionist works and we have to wait in order to pay for the stay, just because the reaturant is closed. Also there is no service at night, so when we figured out that the lights didnt work, we couldn't do anything, thankfully it was summer.

Easy access. Very spacious room. Clean and well maintained. Restaurant downstairs. Friendly staff.

All OK for us but if you need elevator instead of going up the stairs then it is not the place for you.

Wonderful experience!

Some of the nicest owners we have ever encountered. The family made us feel like part of the community and we loved our stay here. We ate at the restaurant and the portions were both delicious and plentiful. This is a must stay if you are planning on visiting the Berg Eltz.

Close to Burg Eltz

The price was good and the owner was very nice and helpful, made us reservations at the hotel restaurant. Parking, which is a plus because we are driving across the country.

Honestly, the room was a little dated, it was cold that night and the heater didn't work, no hair dryer, the street was noisy pretty much all night. If you want to save money and be closer to Eltz then stay here. But you would probably be happier closer to the Moselle River.

Very warm and welcoming host! That really makes a difference. You can have dinner at the restaurant; quality is good! It was packed full on Friday evening, popular place. Nice big and clean room. Bathroom too.

Bed was a little too soft for our taste.

A little bit of sunny Greece within Germany

Lovely location in a old style town. The host was lovely, despite only speaking a little English - we got by. He kindly let us park our motorcycles at the back of the property, next to his own car. We had the room overlooking the back, and it was lovely and quiet and the bathroom was excellent. We decided to try dinner on the restaurant and it did not disappoint! If you like Greek food you're in for a treat. My partner opted for steak and chips and that was amazing too. Breakfast the next morning was like a Roman feast!!

everything is clean and rather new. The owner is so friendly and helpful, also hotel has very cozy restaurant with tasty food, wonderful breakfast and specially for women with long hairs thereis professional hair dryer in the room(!!!)

Exceptional

There's so many things to say: First, location. It is just the right proximity to Burg Eltz. My wife and I and our 3 children got there at dinner time and made our way to the rather inconspicuous door and sort-of stumbled into the restaurant. They understood our English and right away showed us to our 2 rooms (they have smaller rooms so we had 3 in one room and 2 in another). Each room, although cozy, was clean and very well decorated to give you a flavor of the local culture. The night was cold but the rooms stayed toasty warm. We headed down to dinner for the most amazing Greek meal we have had in Germany! (Way better than some well reviewed Greek restaurants in bigger cities that we've been to). We slept great in our cozy rooms overlooking the main street. And the next morning was a delightful surprise to find that not only the bountiful breakfast which was included had everything that you could want, but the attention to detail was remarkable as they even remembered the seating order of our kids and had a special treat for them at their places. I will definitely be staying here again when we bring our extended family for trips to Burg Elz.

Hidden gem near Burg Elz

Nice property in a quiet town. Nothing fancy, but impeccably clean. This is a great value if you are looking for a quiet place to break up your Mosel Valley sightseeing. The staff were so friendly.
