Countryside escape

Quiet, beautiful surroundings, lots of hike routes. The landhaus itself is very cosy. Very welcoming host, Dieter. Thank you for your hospitality!

If you want to visit Burg Eltz, you can’t get any better than this quaint hotel close to the walking path to the castle.

I loved its vicinity to Burg Eltz. A really pretty hike through the woods got us there in about 45 minutes. The hotel was clean, front desk girl was very nice, beds were super comfortable and it was a pleasure to stay there :)

Lovely stay for a weekend!

The location is perfect in a quite town, close to the Burg Eltz. The owner is friendly and explains you all that you need. The room was nice and spacious with all facilities. We had the balcony room and it was lovely. The bathroom is modest but has all you could need. Breakfast had nice options and was lovely.

The shower could use a deep clean.

Friendly hosts, very comfortable beds.

The host was friendly and welcoming and made sure that there was secure provision for our tandem. The beds were really comfortable and the bed linen was good. It was quiet at night and we had a big window which opened wide. (Which is a winner for us)

We were in a room under the roof which was incredibly hot but the fan provided did help. We had to leave it on full power all night, though.

Great and friendly place with a lot of heart

Amazing staff, very welcoming and family feel to the place. Had an excellent dinner and got good advice on my trek to Burg Eltz (which was amazing too!).

The fact that Mondays and Tuesdays are closed with regard to Gasthaus lunch and dinner was a bit of a surprise honestly. But this allowed me to walk to the next village and enjoy a nice dinner there :) The only other thing might be the lack of AC - I was on the top floor and it was a bit warm. The provided fan helped though.

The property is only a short drive to Burg Eltz. There is a restaurant on site that serves good food and not expensive. The room was clean but small. It lacked many normal amenities. Of importance was the lack of blackout curtains. It was summer when we stayed and so sunrise was very early. We were woken by all that light very early.

From arrival until Checking out, we were well looked after. The room was spacious, with a great view. Food was excellent and a great beer and Wine Selection. Owners looked after us and made us feel welcome. We are so impressed, we will be back! Family Dawkins

Everyone was exceptionally friendly! We really appreciated the bottle of water that we got when we arrived. A cute very clean room and beautiful rural surroundings. We also liked the food at the restaurant - admitted that we had ordered way more than we were able to eat.

Ideal location for visiting Burg Eltz in a quiet village. The weather was warm enough to sit outside for dinner which was in a very pleasant area. There was good choice for breakfast. Spacious room with views over surrounding countryside

We travelled to visit Burg Eltz and found this amazing location, close to it. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, plenty of options for breakfast and good parking spots. We had a pleasant stay and are definitely recommending it.

A clean hotel in a beautiful location.

The staff spoke English, which helped a lot. The place was clean, in a good location, and accepted dogs. Lots of walks around. In the restaurant, the food was excellent, and there were some vegetarian options.

There wasn't hot water in the shower when we woke up.

The breakfast was great. The host was very charming, friendly and funny. Location was perfect for visiting Eltz castle in the morning.

The best place to stay when visiting Burg Eltz or just spending time in Wierschem. Great location (it's 30-min walk to Burg Eltz), the facilities and rooms are clean, and the staff and owner are accommodating, considerate, and helpful (specificallu Ditta the owner, and Sandra and Mosel)

Great peaceful place to relax and enjoy the countryside.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We showed up really early and he checked us in with the proviso that the room would be ready in a couple of hours. This was fine with us. It was very convenient to Burg Eltz which was the reason for our visit to the area.

We were unaware that the restaurant would be closed the day of our arrival (Monday). We wound up driving about 15 miles to find a restaurant that was open.
