Duomo Sweet Loft is a nice apartment located in the central Via Cavour in Florence. The house is located in a perfect location in the middle of the historic center of the city within easy reach of all the most important monuments and museums.
This apartment is really welcoming and functional; the interior spaces are developed on two levels: on the lower level we find the living area, divided between the living room and the kitchen, and a bathroom with shower while in the loft we find the double bedroom.

Very nice apartment with a view of the Duomo!
Just so you know, it’s on the very top floor so expect walking up and down flights of stairs. But other than that a great location!

The place was very charming and painted a cheery yellow. It had the cutest, smallest washing machine I've ever seen. It had everything we needed. The views were amazing.
There are quite a few stairs to keep in mind if you are travelling with someone with mobility issues, as I was. I would stay here again.
It's across the street from a grocery store and near restaurants, shops, and museums.
Communication with the host and Homes in Florence was superb. Lovely!

I arrived and waited on the street 30m to get in. I arrived when I said I would but I had to use a strangers phone to call again after clearly communicating my arrival plan.
When I got to the top floor #6, after carrying my luggage with no assistance with even 1 small bag, the apartment was sweltering.
No one had opened it up or turned the ac on for me in advance. It was 34’ C. It only cooled down to the mid eighties F around 3am. I could not sleep up in the bed/loft area bc it was so hot up there. The AC did not cool the apartment more than 22’C at any point even overnight. I am from Florida US.
When I reached out to the property manager about this and also to the person who checked me in, I was referred to another service with any “issues with the property”.
The tv did not work through any source which does not matter to me but should be mentioned.
The listing does say there are some stairs. 112-5sh to be specific 😳 I am in good shape but most people would be slightly challenged.
The floors were dirty, not for bare feet! The loft area of the apartment was cute but needs a MAJOR dusting cleanup. The layers of dust up there indicate it’s been somewhat neglected. The string lights hanging next to the bed were coated with dust.
The smell in the bathroom may have been the water but I kept the door closed off from the rest of the space bc it was muggy and swampy smelling. The person who checked me in made a point of running the water for a bit when we arrived.
