Coddenham itself boasts the medieval St Mary's Church, Coddenham Food Store which provides fresh bakery, veg, deli, off license, gifts, outreach Post Office and cafe, then there's the Community Sports Hall with its tennis courts, badminton court and bowls green, the Country Club if you fancy a tipple . The heritage coast with the towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are only a 45 -60 minute drive, and Constable country with the towns of Flatford and Dedham are just a 40 minute drive. Don't forget to visit Lavenham and Long Melford, wonderful for an antiques hunt, again only a 30 minute drive.

If you haven't already visited Coddenham, why not? It really is a great place to base yourself for exploring Suffolk, and choosing to stay in one of our Lodges offers you comfort and privacy with the security of having an owner on site should you need anything. We have stayed in Grahame's two lodges before. They are excellent and really well thought out properties for couples. The location on the edge of a small village is excellent. I would add that driving around the narrow lanes of Suffolk is a lesson in courtesy, patience and occasionally reversing. It's not a problem, in fact it's a refreshing change just smile and wave and allow yourself more time. You came here for a change of pace so relax and enjoy.

Beautiful lodge in lovely, tranquil surroundings and located in a quaint village. A perfect few days away. Lodge is very cute but doesn’t fall short on what it offers… it has everything you need for a lovely little break.

Great Swiss style chalet with excellent facilities. Good kitchen, shower and bed. Quiet setting with plenty of wildlife to observe in the daytime. Great location for exploring Suffolk and further.

After a two week cruise across the Atlantic, we wanted to explore the East Anglia area. We couldn’t have found a nicer, peaceful place to stay. The tiny charming town of Coddenham is a real treat. Grahm was a most enjoyable, helpful host. The Lodge has all of the modern amenities. I highly recommend a stay.

We had a nice weekend break at Squirrel. We found it clean and well equipped with appliances for self catering, which is what we were looking for. The chalet heating was very efficient with thermostats for each room which made it very cosy, as the weather was very chilly on our 3 day stay.

Propert looks ok from outside. Its,extremely basic, just the b are necessities, Arms of Sofa are grubby, and the toilet brush needs replacing,
