About this apartment rental
Our flat was newly converted and renovated in 2019 so is essentially a new build. It is huge, all the rooms are large and has the feel of a house not flat. With environmentally friendly central heating, new carpets, large fitted kitchen and sparkling new bathroom you are sure to have a comfortable stay.
The flat is conveniently located in the small Highland town of Kingussie above our Chapel House Arts/ Fused and Light gallery with shops, cafes and pubs nearby. It is based in the Cairngorms National park with superb scenery and outdoor pursuits opportunities. But we are also located close to the physical centre of Scotland so Loch Ness and the Cromarty coast and dolphins are all within easy driving distance.
The flat is on two floors. The ground floor just has a utility, toilet and storage. Upstairs is the main living space and comprises one large double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a large open plan kitchen/dining/ living space, family bathroom and an additional small sitting room. We are experienced hosts so have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is no access to the garden as it is a work in progress, but if you bring pets the Church of Scotland next door has a lovely churchyard and there is space downstairs for a large dog crate.
In our 2019 EPC inspection the flat was rated C for energy usage and B for environmental impact, both well above average. Short term lets licence number: Hi-70530-F.

Easy check in - key was left in lockbox and code was provided with plenty of time. Anne was quick to respond to messages and was round the same evening to sort an issue out with one of the beds. The flat is a great size, with a double bedroom and a room with two singles. Both rooms are spacious and offer drawers and wardrobes. It has a separate living room and a large bathroom with both a shower and bath. A huge plus is the washer and dryer. Its well located and provides easy access to a number of attractions in the local area. A few things we felt could have been improved - there was visible dust and cobwebs across the property. The handrail up the stairs was loose making it a little unsafe for the kids. Personally, we felt the sheets/bedding could have been a little better - theyre more suited to hom

The apartment has sufficient room for housing four adults, including bedroom space, closet space and so on. Unfortunately the stone tiles on wooden floor have not survived the natural moving of wood, which gives the place a tired look it dies not deserve.

We had such a great time staying at the flat for the clan gathering - brilliant base for exploring, and so well set up. Lovely!
