The cottage is a 5 minute walk from two train stations, one at either end of the road, with direct links to both Liverpool and Chester city centres. The motorway (the M53) is 5 minutes away and it is a 10 minute drive or 10minutes on the train to Woodside should you wish to catch the Mersey Ferry to Liverpool.
The Wirral is bounded by the River Mersey to the west, the River Dee to the east and the Irish Sea to the north. It has 5 designated local nature reserves, Bidston moss, Dibbensdale, Heswall Dales, Hilbre Island and Thurstaton Common. There is also Wirral Country Park, the first to be established in Britain.
