Athina House is an astonishing new property, located in the picturesque village of Archontiki, in Rethymno prefecture. The property which extends in three levels can accommodate up to 11 guests and comes with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (4 of them with steam shower cabins), an amazing roof terrace with a spa whirlpool, magnificent area views and BBQ facilities, home cinema, gym and spacious outdoor areas!


Athina House offers an eclectic blend of modern design and traditional architectonic elements, combining comfort with luxury. This property is ideal for romantic couples’ getaways, family vacations and groups of friends travelling together. Layout
After passing through the wooden front gate of the property the stone-paved courtyard with the old water well opens up in front of you. Six bicycles are at your disposal in the courtyard and wait for you to explore the village and the country side around it.

Interior
On the ground floor you will find a well equipped gym with a static bicycle, treadmill, weights, abs bench, swing stepper and a butterfly machine for those who you don’t want to quit their fitness program even during their holidays.

An internal staircase takes you from the ground to the first floor of the house. The first floor is accessible from the courtyard with an external stairway too. The sunny open plan room of the first floor includes the living room, the fully equipped kitchen that has everything you may need to prepare your meals and a big dining table to enjoy them. The living room is decorated with light colours and has unique decorative touches. The comfortable corner sofa and the TV set with satellite reception, home cinema, 3D facilities and Blue Ray will offer you hours of fun and entertainment with your friends and family. Furthermore there is a stereo sound system, 3D glasses and a selection of DVDs, Blue-Ray discs, board games and books at your disposal. For the winter time there is also a cast iron fireplace in the living room area that will keep you warm. On the outdoors, there is a spacious veranda of 40m2 just outside the kitchen door. A sitting area is available there under the shade of our vines.

Athina house has 5 bedrooms in total. The master bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has a king-size bed. It also provides a wood burning stove and en-suite bathroom with a Claw foot tub and a steam cabin shower with hydro massage operation. One more bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a hydro massage bathtub is at the same level as well. The other three bedrooms of the property are located on the first floor. Two of them have double beds and en-suite bathrooms with hydro massage shower cabins, while the third bedroom has two single bunk beds. A folding bed can be placed in this bedroom in order to accommodate one more person. All the bedrooms of the house have air-conditioning and flat-screen TVs.

Our primary goal is our guests’ comfort and relaxation. That’s why we have carefully selected Coco Mat mattresses, upper mattresses and pillows for our beds. We also provide high quality bed linen, bath and beach towels and bathrobes.

Spa Whirlpool Roof Terrace
The roof terrace is definitely the most remarkable space of the property offering ultimate relaxation and revitalization. A large spa whirlpool tub which fits up to 6 people is installed under a glass and wooden gazebo. The spa whirlpool has a sound system and a retractable TV and can be used all year around as the windows and the roof of the gazebo open and close as you wish. Outside the gazebo the terrace is equipped with BBQ facilities, a dining area under the shade of a canopy pergola and sun beds. Furthermore the terrace offers magnificent views of the surrounding area. A bathroom is available on this level too, for your outmost convenience.

- Bath and beach towels, robes and slippers provided. Natural, finest quality, Archontiki bathroom products are also provided, with a selection of natural perfumes of your wish. Bath towels changes and housekeeping every 4 days for all reservations over 7 days.

Area Information
Archontiki is a small picturesque village just 20km away from Rethymno town towards Chania. The village is untouched by the mass tourism and remains a quiet retreat of relaxation.
The closest beach is the beach of Episkopi which is 5km away from the village, about 7 minutes by car. Episkopi is a long sandy beach with many beach bars, taverns and restaurants. It is a well organized area where you can find changing rooms and showers, sun beds and umbrellas but also free space to use your own equipment. At the eastern end of Episkopi beach you can find the beach of Petres which also has some restaurants, a diving school and small rocky coves ideal for fishing and snorkeling.
At the nearby village Episkopi you can find all the amenities you may need during your stay such as a supermarket, shops, a pharmacy, post office services, gas station, cafes and restaurants.
