While turning off on road to Elise's cottage we were dismayed at the initial view of the property. Very high weeds, poison shumac, junk laying in the high weeds everywhere. Our first impression was that this was not what we expected. Plus the driveway needs some serious work. When we turned the corner we were highly surprised by the property the building is on, it was well maintained. However, the aesthetics of this property is in some serious need of upkeep. If you are renting a property, you want to see an entire beautiful property not just the small strip of land the building and game room is on. Sad that the initial view is so displeasing. A few items noticed. There is black dirt coming out of bathroom spigots and showers. This is not good. There were several live wasps in the front game room, not sure where they are coming in, but if someone is allergic this could be a serious problem. Loose board on deck in front of grill. Banister on top property needs to be sanded and varnished, wood is splintered. Three weeks before our stay I emailed a question was there a fire pit as we would bring supplies to enjoy an outdoor fire. I was told by your rental company ABSOLUTELY no fire pit, also not listed on the website. This is an issue as we had spent two evenings around the firepit enjoying our stay. So this needs to be addressed and added to the website. HOWEVER even with the things mentioned we truly enjoyed our stay. Felt the owner would like to be made aware of these issues.

We loved the game room, fire pit, front enclosed porch and deck both with a spectacular view of Seneca Lake! Our favorite part was relaxing in the hammock by the beautiful, private waterfall!

The property is amazing! The pictures of the water fall on the property does not do it justice. I could have laid in the hammock watching the water fall the entire day! HUGE patio with the most amazing view of the lake. Fire pit, game room, enclosed porch to watch the sun rise! Bedding was comfortable, linens and towels were plush. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend this house. Owner is super nice, I reached out about checking in at 2pm and he said just text me the day of and I'll check with the cleaners, if they are done, I would be able to. Cleaners are great, the house was very clean. Rent this house, it is amazing!!
