Reeds Lodge, Lake Pochard

Site was beautiful

Location was great- wonderful view of the lake from the verandah. Very peaceful location. We loved the verandah- big enough for us all to sit outside and eat and great for early morning cup of tea watching the wildlife around the lake. Great shower- very powerful and enclosure lovely and big. Communication from the owners was really good- messages sent at key times throughout our stay, instructions very clear.

It was great to have own parking space, but the spaces are quite narrow and on a couple of occasions we were not able to actually park in it due to largish car parked a little inconsiderately in the next bay ( we do not have a particularly large car). It was not too much of an issue as there were places in the car park at the end, but would have been an issue had that been full. The bedding felt a bit tired and worn out. Particularly the duvet in the main bedroom- quality was a little lower than we'd expect and it appeared to quite old and a bit lumpy.

We stayed here to celebrate our son's birthday. A lovely lodge overlooking a beautiful lake with a good walk around it too. The lodge was very comfortable and bigger than we thought. It had all ameneties necessary and the communication with the host was helpful and prompt. It was a great location to explore the local area and it was relaxing to come back to after we had been out all day. We are looking forward to staying here again.

Beautiful lodge, very big space, lake is wonderful and a very peaceful stay. Location is very convenient for exploring the Cotswolds,The kitchen is extremely well stocked, everything was clean and well maintained.

Everything was lovely, however the lodge did get extremely hot because of the weathr and difficult to keep windows open overnight due to mosquitos. Not in any way an issue with the lodge, just the summer months probably more difficult than other times of the year.
