20 Marginella with inverter

The sound of water in the morning and evening was breathtaking. The place was neat and we had a good host , she went out of her way to bring us warm blankets when the kids complained about the cold weather . The place had a private entrance which made it even better . I will definitely recommend the place for a big family .

Location and neatly renovated. Very spacious, with a great viewing and braai area.

The access from the basement parking. The valuables safe was locked, and despited making two enquiries the letting agent did not come back to me with a answer.

The location is the really the best and only thing that we are taking away from our time at Marginella. The apartment is on the 7th floor. The lifts stopped working on Saterday for approximately 4 hours. Not for the faint hearted. Main bedroom has a good shower.

Firstly- the pictures on this page are very outdated. We got a separate coach, fake plants, no placemats, mirror, seating area and plant in the entrance hall- does not exist. Further- there is a dishwasher and washing machine advertised, something that is essential when travelling as a family. There is no dishwashing tablets or washing machine powder provided to use these appliances. Cleaning services ( basic) are offered at R600 over a weekend. So be careful if you are planning a resting holiday. Impossible without spending R600 for a maid. R1500 breakage deposit only communicated after booking and paying on this site, was I emailed and alerted. The towels are old and rough. Additional ones can be bought at R35. 6 sleeper- only 2 toilet rolls provided. Almost R6000 for 3 nights excluding deposit. No tea, coffee or sugar. No dishwashing sponge. No additional toilet paper. Apartment does have aircons in the lounge and main bedroom, main bedroom ac leaked and dripped water the whole time we had it on. Sound bar does not work. The parking garage is extremely cramped and the bay for this unit is in the corner and very difficult to get into. A sedan or suv struggled to be parked. Kwid or smaller would park easily. A very old building. Neighbours let their dogs walk around without leaches. Lift is smelly. Letting agent was more concerned about avoiding parties and large gatherings and noise. Failed to accommodate families, children and value for money. Offering a small amount of starter portions of tea, coffee and sugar. Salt , maybe air fresheners and an additional toilet paper. We had to purchase full groceries which we usually are comfortable doing on holiday but not sunlight liquid, sponges for washing dishes, toilet cleaners, air fresheners, soap dispensers, washing powder for machine. This place gave us the absolute bare minimum and I will therefore not recommend if you are a travelling family.
