A nice apartment in a central location

Quite a nice 2nd floor apartment in a central location. The location is just a couple of minutes walk to the river and there are plenty of shops and restaurants as soon as you step outside, plus small supermarkets very close by. The apartment contains most of the things you need such as an iron and pots and pans.

Overall, the apartment was more basic than I was expecting. The biggest surprise was that it's not really a 2 bedroom apartment because the two single beds are in the living room and are only separated from the kitchen by a curtain, which is awkward if the children go to bed before the parents. We ended up giving our daughter the double bed in the separate master bedroom and we used the twin beds so that we didn't disturb her in the evenings. The apartment is in a pedestrian area so you can't drive directly to it. The owner helpfully provided a map showing where we could find free parking about 5 minutes away. There's no lift and you have to carry your bags up 2 flights of stairs. The internet speed was only 5-10 Mb p/s and I needed to do an important work call from the apartment. When I mentioned this to the owner, they helpfully sent me details of a different WiFi network which wasn't in the guest handbook and was faster, so it's worth asking. The kitchen has a microwave and hob but no oven or dishwasher. There was no washing machine but there's an excellent launderette 6 minutes walk away. It was very hot at night with no fan or air conditioning, but this would only be problem in summer. The bedroom windows all open onto the shopping street outside which has some noise early in the morning, especially on bin day (Thursday). The windows all have good quality shutters and are nice and dark at night.

Enjoyed our stay at this Bingen apartment. It was clean, spacious, comfortable with a great location

The apartment had tons of space. It accommodated 4 adults comfortably, with one large separate bedroom. Had a generous bathroom with both a shower and tub. Many basic bathroom necessities were available to guests, if you forgot to bring your own. Apartment also had a fairly complete kitchen, including a small fridge which was very nice to have. The apartment had a fair sized patio/balcony where one could sit outside and enjoy a rather nice view of Bingen's castle, especially nice at night time. Lots of restaurants close to the apartment, as well as stores to buy food, beverages, toiletries, etc.

We visited the Bingen area in June 2023 when the temperatures were extremely hot, above 30 degrees celsius. The apartment was not air conditioned, and no matter how much we closed it up during the day time, it was pretty hot when we returned from our touring at the end of the day. Though the windows in the apartment could be opened up, the place never really cooled down during the evenings, which made for some restless nights. There were two fans available for our to use in the apartment. One was larger and worked quite nicely, but a smaller one was not very effective at all. Renters should also be advised that this apartment is on the third floor of the building, with access only by stairs.

Eine sehr schöne, saubere und großzügige Wohnung. Perfekt ausgestattet. In einer zentralen Lage, mitten in der Stadt und doch in einer ruhigen Straße. Alles ist fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Wir sind sehr nett empfangen worden.

Schöner Wochenendausflug

Ansprechend eingerichtete Wohnung direkt im Zentrum von Bingen. Von dort ist alles Sehenswerte in der Stadt fußläufig zu entdecken (sogar beide Bahnhöfe sind in ca. 15 min zu Fuß erreichbar). In der Nähe gibt es einige Bäckereien und Frühstücksgelegenheiten. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, es gab zwei Flaschen Wasser aufs Haus. Die Küche scheint gut ausgestattet, wurde von uns aber nicht intensiv genutzt. Kaffee und Tee waren vorhanden.

Das Haus ist insgesamt recht hellhörig. Dafür können die Gastgebenden aber natürlich nichts.

Im großen und ganzen ein gelungener Aufenthalt

Wir wurden nett empfangen. Das Domizil ist im 2. Stock. Es gab leider nur einen Schlüssel. Ich war mit meiner Mutter da. Die Lage ist direkt in der Fußgängerzone. Das einfahren zum be-und entladen ist dort nicht gestattet. Es ist alles vorhanden in der Wohnung.
