Romantic stay in cosy place

Very cosy place, romantically decorated just like the pictures show, ideally located along the Rhin. Private parking and a locked place for our 2 bikes. Perfect contact with our host. Recommended.

Nothing (just don’t expect crazy nightlife and shopping around, in the middle of winter. But we knew it)

Ok stay for short time.

City with history, good wineries around the place. Property was also old, vintage like.

During our stay no shops were open in the city. Probably they are dying out. So you need to plan the shopping in oher cities.

Great base for exploring the beautiful Rhine valley

Fabulous location in a charming quiet village. Interesting spacious apartment with everything you need. It's above the arch in the picture. There's parking in the courtyard behind and great restaurants around. There's even a lift. Views of the Rhine and castles!

Nothing about the apartment but Yes it's between the road and the railway but so is everything along both sides of the river around here. There is only one small shop, but supermarkets are in the next town in either direction.

A very cosy and pleasant stay

Charmingly elegant and cosy, very clean and comfortable. A proper functioning kitchen and a spacious lovely bathroom. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay! We will gladly come another time if possible.

Reaching the place upon arrival was not very easy due to Google not suggesting the simpler train connection. But now that we know the right way, next time should be straight forward.

Ein schöner kleiner Kurz-Urlaub.

Die kleine Ferienwohnung ist genauso hübsch, gemütlich und stilvoll eingerichtet wie es auf den Bildern aussieht.Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und bemüht einem eine schöne Zeit zu geben. Die Kommunikation war gut und das persönliche kurze Treffen war unerwartet und ziemlich cool. Es waren ein paar schöne Tage.

Gutes Apartment in sterbendem Ort

Die Wohnung liegt in der ersten Reihe am Rhein mit schöner Aussicht. In der Nachbarschaft gibt es einige Restaurants, aber keine Läden. In der Wohnung gab es alles, was man braucht, z.B. Kaffeemaschine mit Kapseln! etc. Sogar eine Flasche Wasser war hingestellt worden. Die Einrichtung war originell und gemütlich.

Über die Wohnung kann man nichts Negatives sagen, aber der Ort Assmannshausen scheint ein sterbender Ort zu sein. Viele Häuser sind z.t. unbewohnt oder heruntergekommen. Es gibt keinen Bäcker, keinen Laden, die wenigen Hotels und Restaurants bieten eintönige Speisen zu relativ hohen Preisen an. Wir waren im August 2025 dort mit Fahrrädern und mussten mit Erschrecken feststellen, dass der Fahrradweg und auch die Straße nach Rüdesheim gesperrt waren. Zu gleicher Zeit wurde auch an der Bahnstrecke gearbeitet, so dass wir vor großen Problemen standen, nach Rüdesheim und weiter Richtung Mainz zu kommen. Es wäre nett gewesen, wenn man uns darauf hingewiesen hätte.

Lohnenswerte Reise in interessanter Gegend

Bootsanleger und Seilbahn in 5 min erreichbar. Hilfreiche Informationen und Flyer lagen dabei. Blick auf die Weinberge und Rhein. Einrichtung ist eine gelungene Mischung aus rustikalem und modernem Stil. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Kaffeekapseln, Wasser und Getränke sind vorhanden. Modernes Bad. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Genügend Platz für mindestens zwei Personen. Restaurants und Hotels mit Getränken und Speisen direkt nebenan.

Küchenschränke könnten teilweise in besserem Zustand sein, aber absolut funktionale Küche.
