Times Like These

The location was stunning. We loved getting up to watch the sunrise over the Gulf every morning from the deck area. The house was lovely, decorated nicely and clean. The beach was quiet and peaceful. The house was not too far from amenities, but far enough to feel you weren't wrapped up in a tourist environment.

We were given the wrong code to get the key to the house, so after a long drive we ended up spending half an hour trying to get into the house. It wasn't ideal but it was the only issue we had and the management team sorted it out for us as quickly as they could.

The view was top of the list!

The stairs because I am old and my knees are giving out.

The space was updated, clean, and roomy for 4. It is ON the ocean, with no obstructions to the view or access!!!! That means salty air, and that does run its course on anything metal, so there was some corrosion, and the doors and windows were a little challenging to use, but only as to be expected. There were boogie boards and other beach gear we enjoyed and the kitchen was well stocked as we ate in almost all week. It is about 30 minutes to the old town center. It meant a quiet, removed space just as we needed but still had access to the fun vibes and shopping of the city center. There is a Walmart and a Kroger on the island for all the food needs.

The directions only mentioned how to access the utility room. Once in the room we could not move further. We called Vecasa, as the host, and they were able to locate directions to locate and access a lock box that held the keys for the front door. Hopefully thia soversight is updated.

The sweeping beach views were incredible.

There weren’t any beach towels that we could find.
