Nice quiet yard, local neighbours pleasant enough. This cottage had everything we needed. The shower was fabulous, spacious, hot and the best I’ve experienced in all the Whitby cottages I’ve stayed in.
The heating was so intense it was almost unbearable, tried turning it down but kept reverting back. Scaffolders came and were quite loud, one was very rude to me after the local lady told him he had blocked me in the yard. My mobility scooter had to be lifted up the step each time I needed to go out.

Location. The cottage was warm, cosy and welcoming to return to .
Unfortunately there was an aroma in the kitchen which was off putting. Think the oven may need a deep clean. We did not use the oven for this reason. When I went to retrieve something that had rolled under the bed, in the main bedroom, the floor was thick with dust and debris, looked like the bed hadn’t been moved to clean under for some time….
