    Our family of four stayed at THE HOTEL HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO TOKYU, A Pan Pacific Hotel for three nights, booking two rooms, and we had a very enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were consistently polite, professional, and welcoming. Their excellent service made us feel well looked after throughout our stay. We also noticed that the hotel attracts many international guests, creating a comfortable and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The rooms are modern, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the in-room coffee and tea experience, which was a lovely touch after a full day of exploring Kyoto. The shower and toilet are separated, which is convenient, although having the wash basin positioned right by the entrance felt a little unusual. The rooms are generally quiet with good sound insulation, although you can occasionally hear people passing by in the corridor. The hotel is located slightly away from Kyoto’s main tourist attractions and city centre, but this is offset by the complimentary shuttle bus service, making it easy and convenient to get around. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. The combination of comfortable rooms, attentive service, and a relaxing atmosphere made this a wonderful base for exploring Kyoto. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable hotel with excellent hospitality.

    The hotel has a very pleasant overall environment, and the breakfast was fantastic. The only downside is that the lighting in the room is extremely dim. Even when every single light in the room is turned on, it is still too dark for most people. It may work well for guests who are looking for a moody atmosphere. I chose this property specifically because of the harvest Club brand. Other locations I have stayed at previously under this brand did not have such poor lighting. I hope the hotel can adjust the room lighting in general.

    Stayed 6 nights. Excellent restaurant and services. Courtsey bus to/from Kyoto station. Visited many of the temples surrounding the hotel. The hotel is approx 300 meters from the Metro entrance. Luup scooters across the street at Lawson.

    We booked this premium hotel as a special end to our holiday together. Whilst the room was exceptionally clean, spacious and comfortable, we were disappointed that there was an additional hidden fee of at least 6000JPY to use the spa on arrival. We were not warned of this anywhere on the listing in advance, and were so disappointed considering this was the main reason we booked the hotel, and paid an high price for the hotel anyway. When we raised this with hotel staff and showed them the listing, they could not help. In addition the fitness room had extremely limited equipment, with only 1 single set of dumbbells that were 10kg (nothing more). Also, there was no microwave in the hotel, and there was no 'non-dairy' options such as oat milk or soy milk for the tea/coffee. The breakfast looked very expensive and not such high quality, so we didn't eat in the hotel.
