The steps to the living room are a little steep for if you were not steady on your feet but not an issue for us

We loved staying here. It was hard to leave! This house is located right in the heart of Ambleside. It has a garage that fits a medium sized vehicle. Washer/dryer in the garage.
Two blocks away there is a Tesco for groceries. The wifi was good and dependable. It's not your standard cookie cutter house. It has character and feels very warm and inviting. The living areas are upstairs, with the garage and entry below.
We arrived at the same time the seasons first named storm Amy arrived! After 6 hours traveling down from Scotland through wind, rain and trees blowing down... it was so nice to arrive here.
We felt very secure and comfortable as the storm continued over the next couple days. It was nice to be able to walk to everything we needed within 5 minutes through the rain.
We would highly recommend staying here! We will definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back into the area.
There was nothing that we didn't like.

Great location shops pubs and bus stops all minutes away
Nothing to dislike can’t find any negatives

Ambleside is a great destination . Some lovely walks close by . Good information folder provided .
The apt can be noisy at night , as it’s located next to a pub and restaurant . Pillows need upgrading in the double bedroom .
It would have been a nice gesture to provide a welcome pack for guest . It makes all the difference for international tourists .

Central location right off the main street and next door to a Tapas bar - ideal! Really liked that we were able to park at the property.
Loved the quirkiness of the place and my bed (the double)was incredibly comfortable.
The 'woodburner' was electric which worked well and we felt really cosy.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there was plenty of hot water.
Liked the drying facility in the garage where we could hang wet clothes (and play darts!!)
Lots of books and games for wet days.
Excellent instructions for appliances and information about the town and surrounding area.
The garage is great but our LR Discovery only just went in and we had to wait until a car parked opposite wasn't there to be able to manoeuvre in.
There are internal stairs up to the property and then more to the smallest single room. This room at the top is really small and has a bit of a void alongside the bed which my youngest daughter found a bit scary but others might find it makes a great den!

The accommodation felt like a home from home. We love the little touches and location
Nothing not to like. A small welcome pack of tea coffee etc would have been appreciated but we managed to get our supplies.

Great location with easy access to everything you need
Steps from the kitchen to the front room are possibly too steep for older people. Maybe an outside light about the garage door.

Great location, lovely spacious living area and well equipped kitchen.. very homely. Integral garage meant we could park up and avoid local parking issues and could be at a bar or restaurant within moments.
There were a few wee teething troubles as the property was new to booking.com but the agent dealt with.
I would think it helpful if people knew the quirky nature of this old building means there are several changes of levels between different rooms with higher than normal steps due to its age. We were fine but for someone with walking or balace issues it might be tricky. The stairs up to the home are a little but steeper than average but fine.
