Snug & Secluded Lakeside Shepherds Hut 'Carp'

EVERYTHING It was like turning on the calm switch. Mark was right on point with attention to detail.

It was secluded and had amazing views over the lake.

Mark was a lovely host & made us feel very comfortable & welcoming. The little extras of warm rolls in the morning was so lovely & very appreciated, the stay was very relaxing & had everything we needed for a cosy weekend away.

No dislikes at all, everything was perfect.

This is just a gorgeous location, with your hut looking out onto a pond filled with carp and a gaggle of ducks. A sylvan setting, so peaceful, green and beautiful. Great walks nearby. Hilda was very kind to pick us up and drop us too the train station, especially upon on our return when there were a few cancellations so we had to find a larger station. The deck was great for our dog to watch "duck tv" :-) overall just a super special setting. We were only sad to not have the pleasure of meeting Geraldine who passed recently, her little touches were noticeable everywhere. We had everything we needed in the hut for our meals and to relax. Thank you!

Everything was great! But it is a short walk to the proper loo, as it's only a dry toilet near the hut which wasn't always the best to use. I didn't mind but I can see some who might find this tricky.
