We communicated with the host a couple of times prior to our arrival. We were hiking in the black forest and thus could not tell when we would arrive. The host was very understanding and as we approached Hinterzarten we briefly synced to arrange for check-in.
The room was not fully prepared when we arrived. We had to ask for towels, which then were provided immediately.

Location is not too far away from railway station. It is at walk-able distance.
The host was very friendly to us on all the days except during the check-out. We planned to check-out at 10 am on the last day of our stay. However, we realised we'd be late around 30 minutes that morning and informed him well ahead of our check-out time. Even then, the host seemed to be a little anxious about it and rang the bell multiple times from 9:30 am to make sure that checked out very quickly. Wonder why?? It was ok, but not welcome. Anyways, we had other plans later on during the day.

הבעלים בעייתי. "נכנס לורידים", דורש לפתוח וילונות, מגיע כל יום עם דף ועט לבצע בדיקות. גם כשאינכם נוכחים בחדר. החדרים בתוך הדירה שלו בניגוד לפרסום. הכל רעוע ומחובר על קצוות ברגים בכוונה כדי שישבר ותהיה עילה לגבות פיקדון. גבה 183€ עמלת ספא ואין אפילו אמבטיה. בפרסום מתוארים שירותים כמו מספרה, סאונה טלביזיה שטוחה גדולה, ארוחות בוקר ועוד כאילו מדובר במתחם מלון, בפועל בית עץ ישן מתפרק, עם המון חדרים דלתות ומרתפים בלי סוף כמו בסרטי אימה. טלביזיה משנות השבעים בגודל 10" סאונה- אולי בדימיון. מספרה- בעיר השכנה. מכונת כביסה ישנה מאוד ועובדת בהתאם, מייבש לא תקין, במקלחת מים קרים ללא זרם. מיטות נשברות באמצע השינה. נאלצתי לתקן בעצמי את המיטה שהתפרקה ואת שואב האבק הסתום נוכח כמויות האבק שהיו תחתיה. הבעלים לא הגון ולא ברור בכלל. ביממה האחרונה לפני צ'ק אין נוספו עלויות בהפתעה. בצ'ק אאוט "שכח" שקיבל תשלומים נוספים במזומן. אם תלכו , תקפידו על תיעוד כל תשלום. לפני שתגעו בדלתות תבדקו שהידיות מחוברות. לפני שתשבו על המיטות, קחו בחשבון שהן מתפרקות. הסדינים והמגבות עם חורים. אבל המס הנגבה עליהם כמו על חדשים. את הגישה למכונת הכביסה סגר לנו הבעלים שבוע לפני הסוף בלי שום הודעה. בחדר השינה תקועה מיטת תינוק גם אם אין צורך היא נשארת תקועה על המעבר בתוך החדר בין המיטה לארונות כי לבעלים שהוא גם צוות הניקיון והתחזוקה והמכירות לא בא להוציא אותה.
